I really appreciate your problem solving course and I learnt a lot from your course. I wish if you can continue the second course with more problem solving topics.

Hi Dave: At part 2, 30 min after the start, you wonder why z ends up with a value of 9. first you make z a 9.0 so a float, then you make z an int so an integer, so the result is correct, this has nothing to do with the version.

Hi and thanks for your input. Was very tired while making this. I got this confused with taking input or what would be a string of 9.0 and converting that to an integer. So yes this worked as it should. Thanks again!

Hi Dave, I was watching the lesson on conditionals and at the end when I tried to run the code that you had on the screen I kept getting an error for the if conditional saying ">" doesn't work on float and str data types due to the room_area data type being string, however from the past lessons I was able to type cast it to an integer and that fixed it. You really are a great teacher keep up the good work, I can't wait to continue to learn with you in this course.

Hi, i'm a beginner. i have a question in the 1:10:02 line18: room_area = float(input("please enter the area of your room: ")) how can you without the float() or int() function let it work? i tried to follow and run it, it's not work. it said: Traceback (most recent call last): File "D:\JETBRAINS-PYCHARM PROFESSION\PyCharm Community Edition 2022.3.2\FILE\course\conditionals.py", line 23, in <module> if area > room_area: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ TypeError: '>' not supported between instances of 'float' and 'str'

This will reduce CPU performance, but boost GPU performance because the GPU has more thermal headroom (can suck more power and run hotter because the CPU is not running as hot). Basically you want to disable boost while gaming, and enable it while doing productivity work on your laptop.
