Do you have a link to recommended roof shades for M3? Tesla ones seem expensive, but too many Amazon/Ebay to choose from!

Had my MG X power for about 2 months now. With the LKA you can turn it off, yes annoying each time you start the car but still its a small issue. The range is not as bad on mine, stick the car in ECO and energy saving mode and it can be very economical around 4.0KW per mile i was getting was no struggle. Stereo is absolutely fine just use media from your phone and the sound quality is just fine. Tyres are not great but i have never been found wanting for grip and i drive it pretty hard some days, NOTE that 4wd is only active in sport mode! Steering feel is definitely vague and is not very sharp....but for me for whole point of this car is like a fun electric muscle type car. Trust me when i say this....this is a fun car in its own right.....I have owned 996 GT3, 997.1 GT3, Cayman 981 GTS, 1M, 997 Carrera S, E34 M5 just to name a few cars that i have owned over the years! Yes its a flawed car but i think of it as characterful. Dont have any issues with vibration also, there is a very slight hum at motorway speeds but it certaintly doesnt kill the enjoyment. As for the running costs.....just make sure you have an EV tariff. I have night rate with E.on at 7p per kw and this is a crazy cheap car to run. Its got 430bhp and is very useable so take its flaws for what it is and enjoy the thing! I traded my A35 Amg for this car and i am a petrolhead through and through, but i can honestly say that am not missing the A35 at all and for some reason am much more enjoying this car!

Lane assist has to come back on each trip because its part of their NCAP rating, if it was able to be turned off all the time it wouldnt meet the criteria for 5*. And tbh families take too much stuff these days,

Looking at getting one of these ZE50 GT models with CCS soon - what do I need to check when looking at a used one and how near to the 5-year warranty running out should I get Cleevely to look over it? - I need to buy private as max budget £9k sadly - can't justify spending more on my 4k miles per year.

Great video! I have an model 3 2021, and I recently got a notification that says that my parking sensor might be blocked. I have cleaned it, and all of the sensors look okay. But it wont go away. Is this common for tesla? To have problems with the sensors? And do you know what I can do to fix it?

I went in for front upper control arm replacement on my 2018 Fremont model 3 rwd and I asked about alignment due to uneven tire wear on the inside of both rear wheels. A tech told me this is intentional to provide lateral stability. Thoughts?

Hi James, thanks for this excellent video, as a 58YO DIY mechanic, this is just the sort of information I value. Much as I love what Tesla has done in pushing the EV revolution, my conclusion was to give serious consideration to an MG5. For now I am still very happy with my 2019 BMW i3.

My understanding is that that Tesla updated the Y suspension beginning in model year 2023 - at least for the US market. I’m wondering if they addressed those suspension issues you mentioned? Great to see the common Tesla issues. It appears that Tesla have been proactive in modifying designs as issues become apparent and updating the parts on later cars. Are they reasonable with accepting warranty claims?

I have got the exact same problem in my Zoe, likely to be the compressor. Can you please advise where are you based and if it is possible to arrange repairs for my heater and a/c not working?

Fascinating honest briefing from a Tesla expert. A friend experienced steering vibration on a 6 month Model Y. Tesla finally diagnosed a buckled ns wheel. The list of potential faults seems very long. I know you said the MG was less prone to similar problems, but how does Tesla compare to the likes of VW and the Korean EV brands?

Great video James. We're in NZ and have a late 2023 Model Y RWD. The only issues we've had so far after 14,000km is the righthand side drivers seat bolster wear and rinkling which actually started around 3,000km so I am a bit worried about the longevity and quality of the seats. Other than that, haven't noticed anything else.

Just had to buy new wipper blades on my MG5 SR. 134350 miles in 3 years 5 months. Chinese quality .. lol, all good, still even being thrashed as a taxi.

James the M3P brakes you mention is there a replacement pin you can buy that doesnt seize in the caliper or is it just a case if changing the pins for new before they do? Thanks

There a hypodermic needle available ( E Bay) which screws onto a grease gun which lets you inject the top ball joint
