I have been a performer, a sound technician, and a performer who has ran their own sound. I can tell you, adjusting levels live is not easy. When a singer put their mic next to something else, like when Elize did to Olofs guitar during his solo, it makes it difficult. If a singer starts projecting more, or less, or holds a mic a little further away, or closer to their mouth all affects sound.
