Hello from Germany. My wife and me will drive that "road" in some weeks. Do you think, that it is important to drive in a group? Or are there enough other cars in the Schlucht, who would pick us up after of a day or so, if we have a problem with the car (or the driver). We have an old Nissan Patrol and we drive every year for some weeks or month in southern Africa. So we are a little bit used to the "roads". - I have no experiences with dunes, and I hate deep mud from the bottom of my heart 😁. The mentioned campsite was the "community camp" in Khowarib? Hello Frank, thanks for the message and view. Please do not drive alone through the Schlusch. There are very few vehicles in that area with no cell phone connection what so ever. A Garmin Inreach is a good option for communication. Try and find a tour group or tour leader who is willing to accompany you. We normally tour with Chris van Niekerk of Blue Rhino 4x4 safaris. You can contact him if you are interested he might have some ideas. The trup is really worth it. Good luck Albert and Estelle
