Too much work

“Sorry, it’ll cost the city too much money to lay down pieces of plastic under the roads, you’ll just have to swerve to avoid the 12 inch deep potholes” _woop woop_ “do you know why I pulled you over?” “No, why?” “You looked like you had one too many beers.”

Still makes me laugh americans use yards 😂

Wouldn't it be easier to backfill with stone as you built the wall? That way it will compact more efficiently instead of dumping 4 feet of rock which needs the loader?

Dumb question but how does water escape with that weed liner?

How about in the rain and snow

WHY? JUST WHY?

I thought they were going to lay concrete as the final step. This would never work in the pacific Northwest.
@jakeshapiro3896 годин тому
putting plastic directly into the ground, nice. Weed barrier decays into a massive pain, and disperses plastics as it breaks down, and as it decays it becomes harder and harder to remove. however that probably isn't an issue with a driveway, still lots of plastic 🫤
@lokian11746 годин тому
The 2 best things about these driveways are getting paid to rip them out and nobody has them installed twice. That grid system lasts about as long as you don't use it like a normal person would use a driveway. About as durable as a cardboard bathtub.
@othername10006 годин тому
Use fast setting "hot"mud to fill the gap first, and for then taping with mesh.

Para muchos fuera de USA sus construcciones no parecen "curiosas". Consumen un montón de recursos para hacer algunas cosas que hasta para el mal llamado "tercer mundo" son chapuzas.
@k4ngk0ng746 годин тому
cool idea, but if you wanted to grow there some day, it might be hard with the micro plastics ?

But why though? Like, what's the point of this? I don't understand why anyone would need a barely permeable driveway.

If you're worried about weeds, just sprinkle Preen over the gravel every 6 months and it'll keep them away. Safe for kids and pets.
@cr4zy_filip70411 годин тому
Why not just make it concrete
@katehobbs200811 годин тому
“Yard debris receptacle” - green bin.
@Mouthwsh11 годин тому
Bruh, at that point just pour concrete. That driveway is going to last 2-3 years before it needs more gravel to fill and tamp. Not to mention all the rocks all over the place; stuck in your tire tread, all over the garage, spilling out into the street, in the yard etc. Gravel driveways should only be used for long driveways in rural areas.
@shizukagozen77711 годин тому
Wouldn't it be more permeable if there was no weed barrier ? 🤔
@imblindnotdeaf12 годин тому
it doesn't worth it, imo
@marhaliajohn879412 годин тому
Now pour resin over it

What stops water from going between the joist and the panel but at the bottom of each joist? Seems like water would run between these two edges and be trapped at the bottom of each joist?
@life_score12 годин тому
So, the concrete is just laying on top of soil with no foundation underground or did I miss something?
@austinworkman566313 годин тому
Take the cheapest drive way system and makes it more complicated and expensive than a concrete one

Nice wk! I am a tile setter and doing same. I am using your video as a guide. How does the mortar you used adhere to the red guard? I have always used a thinset with polymer for bathroom tile.
