Not from Fredericksburg, but he lived on the street where I used to live (dead end street) where Brian used to drive by in Hornell, NY where he used to be a DJ for WHHO radio back in 60's and 70's. In used to help him with radio contests, where if your license plate number was spotted and put on the air you won an album. On my way to school, I would keep a notepad in hand where when someone drove by with the radio call number bumper sticker I wrote the plate number down.....At the end of the day I would sit on my porch steps. When I saw Brian's car coming down our small road, I would hand him the #'s to help out. At the end of the contest he had me come to the station and he gave me 10 albums of my choosing! That's how awesome Brian was. His niece that lived with him and his mom and dad, became my best friend. We hung around a lot....went to their cottage....Got on innertubes bouncing around...storm started to come, and Brian blurted out "Riding On the Storm" .....he always cracked me!!! We had to get out of the water though......But there were some great memories of him. Every December 6th I think of him a lot as that was his birthday...it was close to mine too. Good man Brian was!!!

A friend in high school used to sing this back in the 70's. He later went on to work for Frank Zappa.

So much preferable to the grunting of Joe Cocker.

Consolidation and promoting exclusively from the sales department killed radio in the late 90s. Screw it.

This used to be played during the Larry King radio show in the early 90s. Brings back so many lovely memories.
