Oh that's funny how he says "some of these people paid money to hear music, they don't want to hear your fucking mouth". Yeah John, you should take your own advice because you recently walked off the stage like a baby when an audience member asked you to sing instead of spew political bullshit
@TimBracken20 годин тому
That last part is false. He did NOT spew politics in that Toledo incident. He was talking about his elderly grandmother. Don't get me wrong, he did not handle himself well in that incident, but please get your facts straight.

You and I define "has been" differently. He has played over 100 shows in the past year or so. They're smaller venues than he used to play, but they're still around 2,500 fans each and he's selling them out.

@TimBrackenДень тому
Hi Bevrinton, I welcome criticism in the comments, but please get your facts straight. What you're saying is false. Mellencamp had 22 "hits" (Top 40 songs), and almost all of them were *after* Jack & Diane. So he is most definitely not a "1 hit wonder."

My goodness, what an honor for Jackson and Billy. I have followed Jackson Browne since the early 70's and he is, by far, my favorite artist. That is a tall order given the talent running around in my 6 decades. But Jackson Browne, the man never stopped and the legacy he has built will endure into time well beyond us all. To me, at least, his song Barricades of Heaven set the tone for his entire career. The one thing I could NEVER figure out about him was how his lyrics were SO profound for being so young. Maybe that is normal and I'm the knothead, but either way, the man is a wordsmith and an amazing musician. Breaks my heart to see him struggle to sing, he gave his all and is still going. I could see the joy in his eyes seeing a youngun pick up the slack so he could keep on playing. Thank you Jackson Browne for getting me through life, you have NO idea how hard I leaned on you all these years. Still do and I love taking you on the road with me, we have covered some miles together.

It seems every time I hear about cougar, he is chastising the audience for one reason or another. Threatens to walk off strange, who on earth would go see this senile old man with his elitist attitude. So basically he just despises the people that are his fans. Seams like he is on the verge of a breakdown

I don't care what he is playing. He always makes it interesting. I consider him one of the greatest guitar players to ever play on the stage. I've seen him live many times. I have listened to his music consistently since 1976. I love this guy... Peter Frampton.

No matter how hard you try, you will not be able to imitate Cheb Mami's voice
@TimBracken2 дні тому
I don't think he was trying to copy Cheb Mami's voice. Like you say, that's impossible. But the song wouldn't sound the same without that gorgeous intro, and Cheb Mami was clearly unavailable, so he did his best. Cheers.

@terenceoneill30753 дні тому
A great song, thank you. Disappointing the cam stayed on the lead fellow for the first three minutes.
@TimBracken3 дні тому
Hi Terence, as the saying goes, you can't please everyone all of the time. If I go wide too much, then people drop off because all the band members are too small on the screen (I've seen this borne out in the data). On the other hand, if I stay close on the lead singer and take advantage of this zoom lens, then some folks say they wanted to see the whole band. Now, if I had a professional setup with more than one camera, I could cut away from closeups to wide shots, but I'm just a fan doing this as a hobby. Cheers and best wishes.
