I have everything you recommend for this 2.5 RTR, except using the Reve D ESC and 10.5 motor. You’re absolutely correct the Bingo Wasp can handle all the boost, unfortunately the rear transmission went out, I don’t they can handle the boost/turbo upgrade. Nezo, I’ve found that MST makes people assemble the main shafts as tight as possible and it does more harm than good. When I’d built mine, I had to take the spacers out to get the gears a little happier. The tight main shaft issue is a problem with ALL RMX 2.0 chassis including the 2.5 and EX series. Take the spacers out and the gears will hold up a little longer.

You criminal, how can you be making me wanna spend money, haha? What are your recommended gyro's? Is the OMG V3 like Yoko V4? Have you tried and liked any Onisiki, AGFRC Gy01 V3, Sanwa SGS-02, Revox or Futaba gyro's? Thanks for another great video.
@Joshua_B.
@Joshua_B. 18 днів тому
I may not be Nezo but I’ve tried a few of these gyros on different cars/setups. The Yoko v4 is what I currently run and don’t have much complaints, overall quite smooth. Ran the gyd550 before that and it was nothing but pain on the polished concrete, spent a good chunk of time with Nezo and others trying to get it right but couldn’t. Everytime I took the chassis out of the bag it felt like a different car. But don’t let my experience ruin that for you, it is a good gyro once you spend more time with it and fully learn what works best, just takes some time depending on surface and chassis. Seems to work better on P-tile, guess it comes down to the traction of the surface and what not. Don’t take my word on all of this, still quite new to this part of the hobby compared to Nezo and others.

@@Joshua_B. Thanks for the reply dude, that's a cool s13 body. I'm running currently a Yoko V4 with ReveD servo on a RD2.0 on polished concrete and it's great. Guys are considering joining me so I'm looking for options for alternatives. There's a almost new RD2.0 with Sanwa SGS-02 gyro and OMG predator servo, (incl wheels, basic HW Justock ESC and 10.5t Motor) for 300euro. It's a good price but not much info or reviews about the gyro
@austinmacy7882
@austinmacy7882 18 днів тому
The SGS-02 is not as user friendly or simple to tune as a v4 or Reve D gyro but I absolutely love it. However, I would only recommend it with a sanwa programmable servo and the tuner for both and then it’s similar to futaba setup with a LOT of settings to work through and understand. If you want something simple then I’d swap it for the others mentioned.

@BadShoppe 17 днів тому
Standard issue 101: Help spend other people's money :D Personally I either go with single mode OMG's like the V2 or V3 or Yokomo's multi-mode V4. The simplicity/performance ratio is great for high performance without the setup headache. I have not tried the AGFRC, Sanwa or Futaba gyro's yet. I have a GYD550 but i need to sit down and read everything before I understand it lol. When understood, the Sanwa/Futaba stuff allows you to really go high level super fine tuning.

How does flex in the chassis help with drifting? I'm new to the sport, I know very little.
@bowtiefortrouble4433
@bowtiefortrouble4433 20 днів тому
Flex can help with traction when a driver hasn’t optimized suspension tuning when in the process of tuning their car. People seem to go one of two routes. Stiffer suspension and a flex chassis or softer suspension and a stiffer chassis. I won’t hate on people who genuinely are not sure how to tune but for the people who have been around the Rc drifting scene for some time I feel that flex chassis just mask bad suspension tuning.
@BadShoppe
@BadShoppe 17 днів тому
Yiss as @bowtiefortrouble4433 said the flex chassis help with aiding in traction and weight shifting to gain performance in multiple ways. A flex chassis is a quick way to gain performance without having to tune your suspension right away. When your suspension is optimized and combined with a flex style chassis the performance gains can be quite large :D When people install flex chassis but never bother to check or maintain their shocks the gains will be minimal and lack of performance gain will be noticeable. 9 times out of 10 when someone asks me why their car doesn't feel much better after a flex chassis install it is because their shocks were usually 25% or more dead (meaning the shock would only rebound about 75% out or less). After the shocks were topped up with oil or flushed/rebuilt the performance would shine and the car would become proper :D

@@DJ.1001Hello, I was wondering if you need to buy the different toe blocks to fit the RD2 transmission
@DJ.1001
@DJ.1001 21 день тому
Thanks for the review Nezo, this is Darrin from DHP. Just wanted to add a few bit of info. The lightweight and the flex all have the same mounting holes and options. The only difference is one being flex and one non-flex. Also wanted to clarify the small parts in the parts bag. The plastic 3x5mm spacers go on the suspension hinge pins when you are using standard style suspension mounts. The 3x8mm standoffs are for the rear lower shock mounts. They replace the included plastic spacers and give you back the option to use all three shock mounts holes.
@ezveedub238
@ezveedub238 20 днів тому
"The plastic 3x5mm spacers go on the suspension hinge pins when you are using standard style suspension mounts." You will have to recalculate the sus mount bushings to get back to 1.1 rear toe, as extending the sus mount back 5mm will reduce the toe in using the same bushings (using the data in the Yokomo charts) or dimensions off the stock plastic sus mounts.
@DJ.1001
@DJ.1001 20 днів тому
@@ezveedub238 Correct, since the distance between the blocks is increased by 5mm you will reduce the amount of toe angle very slightly. It is roughly a quarter of a degree less toe in. Fortunately the increments between toe block inserts are roughly the same as what you will lose, so simply going one insert wider in the rear will get you back to the same toe as a standard 45mm toe block spacing.

I’ve only ever used gear diffs though and I run on carpet. Both definitely are amazing but the rd 2.0 I give a slight advantage just because of the diff and the fact it is more tunable out the box. The rdx does have amazing plastic shocks though 😂

I’m actually surprised though because for the RMX, they must’ve heard my opinions about not having KMW provisions that the new RMX Wasp chassis all have them including the AWB. I don’t see myself planning to swap my chassis out anytime soon but definitely this is one chassis that I’m more than happy to suggest to others.
