I just watched his film and searched to see if anyone was making their own commentaries or reviews of it. This really is a beautiful dedication to the movie. Joel Haver never fails to inspire me to make art for the pureness of it. Stuff like Pretend That You Love Me makes me re-evaluate what kind of art I want to make - it challenges me to make room for humble and genuine pieces that come from the heart, just like this. The outro bridge is like a smiths song, I love it! Wanted to turn on the movie to watch something inspiring while writing a song and found one that allready did that instead. This is a great song. Descending bass is always a good thing ( = Will definetivly check out more, you're awsome!

Joel can see a soul like nobody's business, and you can see that he truly understands all aspects of life, including happiness, and especially PAIN and sorrow. I just played along to it and even though I sadly don't have the time to fully tab it, nor am truly sure everything 100% spot on I'll try my best to explain roughly how the song goes. You put your capo on 1 and then you start playing a note on the A (now As) string and then the E(now F) empty. The 5th string notes are descending so it's probably something like F D# C As but I'm not entirely sure on that. That's the base, I believe. Now sometimes it felt right to bring in the G(now G#) empty aswell into the picking pattern and in the waltz section instead of playing : Note on A String - E String you play Note on A String and then empty G, H (now C) and E string together twice. That's roughly how I think the song goes. Hope it helps atleast a little bit
