No rock band were ever on the front pages of the papers for so long as them, who broke all the records going including fastest selling debut album, fastest selling album EVER, biggest audience ever for a concert, 8 number 1 singles in the UK, number 1 records all over the world from Canada to Israel, to Japan to Australia, screaming fans at airports, huge influence on youth culture, mad tabloid frenzies.... i could go on

Gorillaz for me. And I grew up listening to Blur, but I love the collaborative aspect of Gotillaz and the albums just got more with me

Never quite knew how all the pieces of Blur, Damon and Gorillaz all fit together. This is a great video that explains it all.

I think the beatle of the 90s should be radiohead, i mean apart from their 1st album, the second(the bends) and the third(ok computer) are a hugh step up from their music production

I loved when the Gorillaz came to fruition! I loved the fact that it was about the art and the music and not about someone's perfect face or someone's extremely cool image they have worked so tirelessly at to cultivate. When will we learn that looking cool is so uncool. Even trying to not look cool is uncool. And wanting so desperately to be worshipped is extremely uncool.
