I travelled over 40,000 miles watching rugby league in 2018 (my record year watching the sport). I just got back to the US from England having watched 5 Super League games including the Saints v Wigan derby. League all the way for me. The greatest game/sport of all without any doubt.

It is not derived from American baseball. I'm American, and I love Baseball. This sport is derived from an even older Scandinavian game. I can't remember the name, but it looks like a long-drive competition and cricket combined.

I noticed that nobody dribbled the ball, only ball movement and motion offense. You didn't notice that the shooter shoots a set shot and not a jumpshot. Also didn't see anyone drive to the hoop or attempt a layup or a hookshot. So I guess those aren't allowed. I also didn't see anyone making cuts towards the basket and expecting a pass. Not allowed, too?

3rd point is wrong. Top level cricket is played by 10 nations but top level baseball nations are only 2 japan and usa. There are 100+ nations which are associated memebers to cricket. Look at this year world cup, nations like oman, Papau New Guinea are playing & WC is important tournament in cricket unlike in baseball & in cricket these 10 nations play against each other regularly, where as baseball is nore of a franchise sport

This is like saying a ballerina can't play football. That isn't the point. The point is "what skills translate to football?" A football player who also wrestled sumo would most definitely learn skills that would help him tremendously, just like how wide receivers use ballet. This video has completely lost the plot.

As a playing forward, scrums are really important in union, but mostly to tire out the opposition forwards. If the opposition team aren't used to scrummaging then the huge amount of anaerobic effort in a scrum can win you the game as theirs are knackered meaning your forwards can contribute more (net) to the game. The long setup times are actually useful to give both sides a bit of a breather and allows the backs to refill their gas tanks, as it were. I like union as it is a much more inclusive sport, a 130kg chap such as myself (who also does strongman) is incredibly effective for a minute or two, but then requires a good 2-3 mins to refill the tank. League, like soccer to an extent, is a normative sport in that physiques, fitness and weights tend towards a 'standard' - in union, all shapes and sizes are useful, and theres a job for everyone regardless of physique.
