And yes; most people won’t notice the difference but why perform a conversion step that’s not needed and any add extra post-production time?

Today, traditional animation replaced the expensive traditional ink and paint and photography process with the digital ink and paint process on computers. While traditional cel animation became a dominant technique in the 20th century, not all animation is digital 2D animation but 3D computer animation became the dominant technique today.
