Race supposed to be a social construct and we all can have a ancestor predominantly another continent of ethnicities and for many blk Americans who a quarter European, I guarantee they at least have a one drop rule if they say they don’t know anyone white recent in the tree, so my question to you, would be WHAT PERCENTAGE DO YOU STAY CONSIDERED MIXED? and WHEN R U JUST FULL BLK OR WHITE AGAIN?

Some are about Griffe I believe is the correct term with a light skin and brown parent, and most know that recent full European ancestor from that light skin parent, so sure they blk because in America it means light skin or darker, but they definitely mixed.

@@DoubleBeezy in the united states most African Americans don't know their most recent European ancestor. Also a Griffe is someone that's 3 quarters African. When your 3 quarters anything you whatever the dominate ancestry is. Now if you said 65% that person is still a Mulatto

No offense to anyone but I think people tend to go with what they see first. If I saw Halsey walking down the street, I might think she's of predominantly southern European ancestry. But Halle berry or zendaya are more VISIBLY "biracial" or to some people "black". I'm a Hispanic American of of Puerto Rican and Dominican ancestry. My father is boricua but the dude burns in less than a minute. He looks northern spaniard. My mom is a darker skin Dominican, sometimes she can look Indian but she refers to herself as black. I came out with really pale, light skin and European facial features but I have curly dry hair probably 2c or 3a idk exactly but it's very easy to straighten and it gets wet or damp. I just identity as Hispanic. Peoole say "oh Hispanics isn't a race blah blah blah". People also act like being labeled white is some sort of trophy or some shit like wtf? British people really fucked up America huh? They even considered Irish people as non white when in reality, Irish people are the whitest people on earth. But don't even bother arguing with a brit about racism. They're the worst when it comes to accepting the things that they've done.

Blk just means light skin or darker and most ppl like myself is thrown into the African American box and is exactly why so many ppl so called African Americans is multi generational mixed and nobody accepts all their ethnicities, knowing it's not from slavery at that point when you know your full European ancestor was your grandparent or great grandparent. I say blk since I have to pick a label but I will have my kids put mixed in the future because it's crazy how many ppl I hear complain about nit being accepted when so many ppl mixed AF. Some body said they look yt but they also Hispanic 😂, im like dude you yt by America stupid social construct but of course you mixed. I believe once you know of your recent mixed background, just keep mixed in the census, so we can get an American only option soon. My mom was Creole Louisiana, mainly mixed with french and native American. And my dad of no recent mixed ancestry as far as I know of 😅. So just knowing that is I guess one reason I never had the pro blk Tribal and pan African view. My family literally if all shades but it messed me up, when someone told my brother, he should stick with his own kind, and it was one of our family members who also know of our recent mixed ancestry. But they was a pro color person 😢

Mixed race people are beautiful, just like other people, white, black, Asian, etc. It is sad that people are made to feel odd about who they are or about which race they belong to. Mixed people should not feel like they have to choose one of the races they are made from. That is just stupid.

Race mixing is a terrible thing. Black people, stop sleeping with our enemies(white people). Race mixing is promoted to produce more white people because they are a dying race. If a mix person makes a baby with a white person, the baby will come out white. Race mixing does not benefit black people, it only benefit white people. Race mixing is a trick to produce more white people.

The issue is how "Mixed" folks always become Black only when it's beneficial to Black culture. You'll have Black folk who in one breath will say person X is NOT black without 2 "full black" parents, but if it's Beyonce (her mother Celestine Ann Beyonce is FRENCH, African, Irish, Spanish, Native Am. and Creole, etc) she is not the child of 2 African-American parents, she's called "Black", hailed as a black icon. Beyonce is "mixed". Malcolm X was mixed. WHITE Scottish GRANDFATHER straight up pure white man. He's called "Black" leader in black culture. Sade. BRITISH/African. She's called Black by the culture. When Halle Berry won the Oscar, they called her the first "Black" woman to win that category. Berry's mother is white. When mixed boys are in black communities, they hear 'you ain't really black' but if that same mixed boy gets shot dead by a cop, now he's black? Why? Over and over, the children of only one fully African descended parent get used as Black when it's convenient or beneficial to the culture, while simultaneously being abused/derided and hated for it by those same people. White people rarely make that distinction. They look at Barack Hussein Obama as lol... Black. Duh. It's Black people who need to clarify for themselves what they consider Black or not. they/re all over the map with their judgement s of it 😂

i really wish that the term "mulatto" will be acceptable again in America. In Spanish-speaking countries, "mulatto" simply means someone who is mixed black (sub-Sahara African) and white (European). "biracial" is too vague, it can mean black-Native American, black-Asian, black-Polynesian

The problem begins the moment someone asks: 'what do you think about yourself? do see yourself as black or white, or mixed?' As if we all had to choose a side, and if you choose to take no sides at all, or all of them....., there will be consequences then....We all are aware of our physical differences (to say otherwise would be ridiculous), but we don't get into these categorizing debates over people who wear glasses vs not glasses, or taller vs shorter, or thick eyebrows vs thin ones...
