But I still feel like he's one of those guards who has a couple legendary scoring seasons in the middle of his career before falling off when the team realizes they're not going to win that way or they get hurt-e.g. Gilbert Arenas, Isaiah Thomas, Stackhouse, Bradley Beal, and many others before.

🤔🤨 underrated because he scored 45 points 😂, this the problem with NBA fans there have been many good players like Middleton to score more than what they are used to and one game doesn’t make them underrated. Underrated is considered more for a player like Dame when he was in Portland and after being the clutchest player in the league for 9 straight seasons before his season ending injuries. He was underrated because he was carrying his team every season into the playoffs and still wouldn’t get picked to start in the All Star Games, or even get chosen to the All Star Game. And he always scored on a high level, never considered a top PG in the league because he played in Portland. That’s underrated. And he’s a great playoff teammate. But he’s not underrated.

I was very blessed to live in indianapolis through the 80s and 90s when the Pacers were on a tear. Indeed, so fun to watch! From the theatrics and unreal shooting by Reggie, to the dirty work and blocked shots from Davis brothers, to the incredible accuracy from 7'4" Smits, they were really fun to root for. In particular was their playoff runs, which of course culminated with the excitement already there in May around the Indy 500. The Indy car sound they played during the games, very cool!
