I think saying "fake meat tastes worse then real" is little incorrect. Is stake tastier then cooked beans or chickpea? Probably yes. Do those beans taste bad? No, the can even be tasty if cooked right. I think thing like Beyong meat only loses by presenting them as fake meat. Its something different, similar to meat, but not complete replacement. I sure it can be tasty, but "fake" is never live up to real thing.

The car is out but the brand is new and it will take some time to build recognition, the car market is a very hard business. I wish lucid to be successful, i find their car good looking and if i could afford one i would definitely buy one.

I can assure you that literally no one (and especially not distracted tech-obsessed people) needs a 500hp car for the street (to say nothing of 1000+ hp). The weight and power levels of these electric vehicles is really concerning. What happens when a 6000lb electric sedan with insane acceleration hits a smaller normal car?

I'd say that simply some features are still not being developed. For example understanding pedestrian signaling is not inehrently impossible. Furthermore the problems that waymo had with emergency veichles is just a sign that its recognition AI is not correctly trained to handle that. I would say that is something that it can be fixed in the future, maybe it's difficoult but i would not say impossible. It's only few years that Waymo is going full power in San Francisco. If you look at the first years of 20th century you would see crazy driver and probably will think "nah, it's impossible that everybody will drive one day", but it's only because it was a new technology and people needed to adapt. I see in a similar way this technology, frankly it's simply a young technology, with time I don't see way it cannot surpass human capabilities

Rivian needs more affordable cars but you do realize that no all rivian parts are made in the US so geopolitical pressure still exists.

On the down side, partnering with Electrify America isn't great, putting their money into a full-sized luxury EV over a $50k crossover people will buy isn't great, and not making a small sedan to compete with the Model 3 isn't great. Tesla didn't start making money until they made an affordable car, to compliment their flagship Lexus made the LS, to make waves, but also the ES, to get steel on the street

In Lucid's defense, the Lucid Air did live up to the hype, and you wouldn't be wrong to say it is the best EV on Earth. The upcoming Gravity looks like a winner, wand will use plenty of what made the Air near perfect Tesla didn't start making money until they built the Mode 3 and Model Y And Tesla went 15 years before becoming profitable. Lucid has only been around for 3 years.
