"Cultural capital" we were raised by a "cultural" sandbox of neglect shaped by baby boomers. The participation trophies, the you're special, all that garbage baby boomers have pushed on us were shaped into weapons to use against millennials. Now that pop culture molded by baby boomers is gone, millennials are adapting to bare reality now that it's stripped from them. Thank god my parents neglected and left me alone, that's the point of insanity we've reached... I have no influence from millennial pop culture so I have better eyes to see without biased. We millennials will never forget how the baby boomers have screwed us... calling us special and that we can do anything, only to have it turned against us as spectacles to laugh at. Now, they're focusing their attention on gen Zs. It's pathetic

On top of that, men do look like they were in that period or living in those post-apocalyptic settings... come on, you can rub your actor with 30 kg of dog shit and a fake beard but you cannot do the same with the actresses?

I can see an episode where Niles and Daphne come by as guests for an episode, and the circumstances surrounding: -Daphne reunites with Freddy and the initial attraction that was first featured (little Freddy having a crush on Daphne) is flipped, with Daphne noticing how masculine Freddy has become and commenting how she hasn’t seen him in years. Not enough of a notice where she would pine over him, but just a touch where Niles notices and makes a note of it. -Niles, noticing how Daphne notices, follows up with parallels of his life; maybe noting that he and Maris were together X years before things fell apart before realizing that’s how long he’s been with Daphne, and in his own neurosis starts finding other things. Finally, over the edge, he tries to “save his marriage” by being proactive: first by bodybuilding (gone horribly wrong) to challenging Freddy to a duel (for his wife’s honor also going horribly wrong). -David begins to receive word that his scholarships, titles, etc are being revoked due to false allegations about him. When investigated it turns out that it’s the son of Maris and Nyles (who also is never seen on camera); his origins could be that he was conceived from the donation that Nyles made to a sperm bank. Maris, unhinged even back then, paid to have the sample hidden while deemed unusable, finding a surrogate to carry the child, etc. Something that might make it interesting

The best quality that makes Cher a great character is that despite being the social queen of the school it didnt corrupt her, she's not a cruel wasp like say Regina George, in a lot of teen movies you see the archetype of the queen bee as someone that rules over the other kids with cruelty in stylish fashion meanwhile Cher always either argues for her own benefit (better grades) or uses her influence to make the lives of those around her better in that sense she's the most legit Queen Bee since in nature its the queen thats responsible for being the heart and core of the hive keeping the balance while the workers try their best to keep things afloat I like this movie bc it showcases that a queen bee can be a positive force if its channeled in the right direction contrary to the Wasp archetype

It is weird, living in a world where women start to look like second cousins, LOL. But in all seriousness, screw society, I don't have to look like a Kardashian to be happy. A long time ago, I made the decision to stop competing with women, I look how I look like. PERIOD. They probably influencing somebody else, it sure ain't me.

Its funny that femenists resort to side with the one character which is objectivly evil. Phil did nothing wrong. at least tried to be virtues and help the boy overcome his literally toxic mother. its facinating that even with all the deliberate framing of so called toxic masculinity and the homosexuality theme the obvious conclusion is rather the toxic feminity of both the alcoholic mother and her effeminate psychopatic son who uses poison (typical female method of murder). The lesson of the movie don't ever show kindness to people like rose and peter.

Somehow the Lord of The Rings movies to me always seemed more organic and grounded in reality (even the ethereal elves don't look like they somehow have a daily skincare & makeup routine or something) like how the Fellowship understandably each tended to have unkempt hair and bits of dirt on their faces due to a long journey with barely to no time to look more after hygiene while many Hollywood-movies' women usually look too perfectly clean like a untouched Barbie doll even when they're bloodied and bruised in some scenarios.

I know this video is old but I am currently in a LARGE age gap relationship. Im 20 and my boyfriend is 39. We argue like any other couple and our ages dont make any impact on our relationship. Its not always bad. Sometime two people just go together.

People need to stop labelling her as a monster and watch Mary Kay Louternou Story (movie from the early 2000s). Before Vili, she had no criminal history, usually predators have a history and also Mary was in a loveless marriage with an abusive husband and her father was dying of cancer, she was alone emotionally and Vili was the only person who comforted her and she grew close to. Obviously she should have waited until he was 18 and I’m not saying that sleeping with a 12 year old is right but she wasn’t evil and she did feel bad for it and even served jail time so it annoys me that everyone is portraying her as a monster. Please, at least talk to Vili himself before passing any judgements, he said so himself that she never forced herself on him, it was mutual and that it wasn’t pure sexual, they cared for each other. Again, I am not saying it’s right, I am just saying she’s not a monster.

I think an important point being missed here is... these are movies and TV, *not* real life! Of course they look better than a 'normal' woman would! The problem isn't the wonderland of the silver screen, but rather the seemingly growing inability to distinguish between fantasy and real life. Don't sweat it over TV and movies.

How was Charlotte wrong? She is the only girl out of the four who presented the most personal growth, was able to create a happy long-lasting marriage, and portrayed personal sacrifice by adopting a child. I can go on and on. But her faith in traditional values singles her out from the group and elevates her.

slytherins are cunning sly and ambitious. let’s look at slughorn: he picks favorites and tries to get good connections in order to benefit himself in the future (for example, first row tickets to quidditch games). slughorn is the perfect example of a slytherin just minding their business. then, narcissa malfoy. she’s done a lot of not great things, she’s literally married to a deatheater. however, in the forest in deathly hallows, she saves harry by lying to voldemort in order to save her son. true to her house, she lies and tricks to do what she thinks is necessary. and as for the argument that all slytherins are bullies.. ALL the houses are. whenever someone is sorted in slytherin, most of the other houses boo the kid. imagine showing up to your first day at school and getting bullied immediately. harry literally calls cho a human hose pipe💀💀 every house is mean and they technically are all capable of and probably have produced bad wizards, slytherin is just the only one who takes accountability for it

What? I absolutely love this ending. I was so impressed by how self aware the writers were; these were not good people and they got a slap on the wrist punishment, then their pettiness continued behind bars. Perfect ending. To have a feel good emotional ending would have been a betrayal. Audiences are dumb. Well done Larry!

Few people who are impacted by a death in entertainment rarely want to know the deceased before or after death. The victim is an image or martyr not a breathing person with smarts and dreams. The ideal of her isn’t necessary but objectively her appeal is.

I remember in Endgame when Scott meets his daughter Cassie again, some people jab the actress that she looked 30. Some others even say she looks older than Paul Rudd. Hope you fools happy, cause the replacement was a plank of wood glammed up to be family friendly version of Amber Heard. It's funny how my cousin said she looks like a some girl with a taste in golf and her dad being a Florida somebody. Turns out, she's every bit of that.

They got something wrong though. The nun represents religion and truth, and ultimately in the film, the nun represents justice. At that point Judy was starting to convince Scotty into letting things be as they are, to continue pretending. But she had to die, to pay for participating in the murder of an innocent person. The movie could not let her get away with what she wanted after what it had cost to others. Judy is no victim, she participated unforced in the bad things she did

I get what "Instagram Face" looks like, but I think a lot of the examples ya'll use aren't that? I get internalizing Hollywood beauty standards as well, but at some point, I expect actresses to be made up in movies? IDK, I think this video is reaching a bit, or at the very least, you're re-hashing a number of videos ya'll have already made.

Everyone blames studios, managers, recruiters etc, and all do bear a lot of responsibility, but let’s be honest, the problem really lies with the audience. You see the complaints Coming in if they ever dare to cast actual normal looking (or god forbid, not every good looking) people. Look at how people will watch appallingly bad actors if they’re hot. And it’s the same for men, women, straight, gay, whatever race etc. the audience is almost always to blame

I still blame Rachael for the whole relationship. She set them up just so she could go after her latest crush, pointed out that Emily genuinely cared about Ross, and then flew all the way to London to ruin the wedding. Then, when she wants to get back with Ross via phone message, Rachael convinces him he's dodging a bullet.

Love the fantasy world of the screen - so grateful for all those amazing talented people who go out and do the work Totally agree - I want the pressure taken off “stars” to conform to a brutalising standard - not for me! Both ways - I don’t want it. I don’t want all that for them. I want them to be as happy as they can be following their dreams and bringing dreams to me. I will cope if they get old, look old!
