No one cares about Gollum. Of all the stuff a movie could be about, WHY? On the bright side, I'd love to see returning actors from the original movies.

I'd say with War of the Rohirrim in December, RoP hopefully getting better over coming seasons, then by their 3rd season in 2026, we get this Hunt for Gollum movie too?!?!?!! Regardless of ups an downs with adaptations, it is a great time for Tolkien fandom. I see some negativity in the comments already, so there will undoubtedly be hate just like RoP. But hopefully not as much since the original dream team is involved. But come on people, this is a glorious time for Tolkiens fans!

From my memories of the books, this would be after Gollum is set loose from his imprisonment and torture in Bara-Dur, correct? We could get an unnerving Sauron torturing Gollum sequence early on!

This could either be an epic, amazing adventure! Or it could be a disaster…. If there is a hint of Woke, Yas Queen slay, kill the patriarchy nonsense or a single character gets race swapped…. I’m out! 2001, 2, and 3 were different times…. 2024, is a freaking mess. Let’s hope this production doesn’t get infected like everything else!

Remember when they announced a Gollum game out of the blue that no one asked for and it was the worst LotR thing ever? I feel like this is going to bbe the exact same thing in movie form.

I'm super sceptical of this. Whenever Hollywood thinks they can write a better story than Tolkien we get stuff like Rings of Power or a movie trilogy for the Hobbit which could've easily been 1 film.

Please please PLEASE don't be as bad visually and story wise like the Hobbit trilogy movies. 🤞🤞. I would love to see on-set location filming and less time in front of green screen

Alex skarsgard as a younger Aragorn is perfect! He can easily pull of the character.. the same age now as Viggo was back then! And Skarsgard is very tall! He would give more of a book-type look to Aragorn

I'm cautiously optimistic and am checking my excitement and hype at the door.

Wondering if we'll have a scene with Bilbo and Gandalf...where G tries (succeeds) to coax out of Bilbo the whole story of how he got the ring...and his conversations with Gollum. We also know that Gollum was indeed captured...and kept with Thranduil's people in Mirkwood (they ultimately failed to keep him there).

Cautiously optimistic. Pray for no creative meddling on the producers' part.

Anything with Gollum doesn't appeal a lot to me, I'd rather see Angmar, or something different idk. At least we got something, I never say no to more Middle Earth content!!
