Use the new 3d printer to 3d print parts for a CNC

the cnc is cutting some parts for a 3d printer i'm building, hopefully there will be a video out soon ish details about cut: just a cheap 3018 pro from ebay, fully stock 3 flute 1/8" upcut but cutting out of 5/8" particleboard/chipboard 1000mm/m .7mm stepdown

it has 2 main issues issues, but i think they are easily fixable: -the cooling. it's quite powerful, there's definitely enough of it, but the air just isn't blowing into the right spot. this is just an issue with the design of the duct and should be relatively simple to fix -the z axis. there a few issues with it, the worst one being that the linear rods i used are quite low quality and the diameter, while should be 8mm, is closer to 7.8-7.9. this makes the whole bed really loose and floppy, it makes leveling quite difficult and it shakes up and down during printing. also, i'm using m4 rod when i should be using t8. the m4 rod requires a strange steps/mm value as well as the fact that the rod is very bent and wobbles a ton. and finally, the bed springs are really weak and also cause leveling issues as well as the print bed wiggling when printing. again a simple fix, will just use stronger springs. once these are all fixed there will be a long format video on this printer.

nice

i think most of the issue is the low quality bearings im using. possible that the issue would be fixed with better bearings. either way i'm redesigning to make it a corexy and more space efficient

Nice video, that hectic sound when you peak the mic really kills it for me though.

yeah for this this video i was actually using 2 different computers so my audio settings were all messed up. should hopefully be fixed in the next video, whenever i decide to make one

It is nice but i would say make everything but the holder from profiles and just get a linear bearing. Nice job

Is it compatible with Dremel 8220?

Excellent video. I’m working on using ChatGPT to generate gcode to run my Desktop CNC Router. Once I loaded up the specs of my machine and defined the WCS info I’ve got it V-carving a little bit. I think I can crack the code eventually. Once more people use/try it hopefully GPT will learn more
