Why I said that because just look at center control of this From as screen, buttons control radio, AC, almost same BMW styles. Oh engine specs are almost same numbers

That’s pretty sad when all the car companies are getting rid of V6 V8 engines and putting crappy four-cylinder turbo engines and all of them that is sad so there’s no point of buying a big huge SUV. He might just buy a Kia soul be done with it since it has a four-cylinder just like all the other ones.

Big Risk…Big Risk…Big Risk….! More money, fewer cylinders with a big risk turbo…! GM wants you to take the risk, not them…! They will not match the Hyundai drivetrain warranty. They may eventually have to, to sell these unless buyers are gullible…! Only dark interior, no rear window shades, no ventilated rear seats, and charging more money…! Nope, not me, too risky, too pricey…!

Just bought a Honda CR-V. We had looked at the Pilot, the Kia Telluride, etc... It looks like the Traverse has sort of copied the outsides of the honda CR-V and Pilot, and taken the interior from the Kia Telluride. I do like the red accents that they put into the interior. Reminds me of what Samsung did with one of their laptop and TV lines back in the early 2000s. The red on black is a very nice touch. I love that combination. Never drove one of these though. After getting our Toyota and Honda cars in the early 2000s I'll never go back to Ford or Chevy. I'm older now. There won't be time. But I found in general the quality of everything just isn't as good and the American companies will let defects sit in their product lines for decades before fixing. Not lying. Chevy had cracked dashboards on their camaros for years and never fixed it. Ford had a capacitor in their steering columns that would catch fire even when the car shut off. If it was in your garage could cause the whole house to burn down. Ford let that defect go for at least 12 years and it was in several different vehicle lines. Mine was in a 1988 mustang. Near the end of the 1990s and I think even into the early 2000s they were still doing recalls on this defect. I just can't do business with companies that only care with making the sell. I remember on my Camaro I had a light in the ash tray that got displaced. When I finally got to see what the problem was. The light was held in place with a piece of electrical tape. The adhesion after years had simply lost adhesion and thus the light bulb got displaced. Cheap cheap cheap.

The elephant in the room is always that all the damned Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara, Toyota Hailux, Ww Amark and all the other small Pickups are that their cabins are not big enough and therefore the cars are WAY too expensive because they are simply useless as family cars. The cars cost the same as an SUV car and are also more expensive than SUV cars, but you only get half a car compared to the SUVs. There is simply too little legroom in the back seat and the cars are also too narrow. A man of 183cm cannot sit comfortably in the back seat of any of those pickups because there is NO LEG ROOM. So what the hell are we paying for when we can't have our 17 year old sons and daughters sitting in the back seat?? THE CABINS ARE TOO SMALL AND WE GET TOO LITTLE CARS FOR THE PRICES OF THE CARS. Why isn't anyone talking about the damn problem with the small cabins. No legroom equals the fact that the cars cannot be used for families with children aged 15. Too little legroom!!!!!

*gm’s* quality and reliability is on a steady increase up and is significantly improving. This Traverse shares nothing mechanically with the past model and the reason the 2.5T’s fuel economy isn’t better is due to *gm* focusing on durability and power output. Although it isn’t much more fuel efficient than the 3.6L V6, this redesign 2024 Traverse should be much more reliable and boast better build quality than before too.

Even if it's not as reliable as a Toyota Grand Highlander or a Honda Pilot, the MSRP difference, interest rate difference, and the typical dealership-level discounts that are offered by most 'domestic' brands, it would still be cheaper to repair and run this over a 7-10 year timeframe than the two Japanese offerings.

The General did a good job on this new vehicle (update). I am very impressed… both inside and out. I’m personally not convinced about GM’s reliability, so my advice would be to stick with a Lease. Or… as I might do… RENT one for a weekend (cottaging or long distance trip). Their addressing interior sound levels impresses me. I think to get the general public to get real excited, I might suggest ‘doubling up’ on a Limited Run trim. Bring back the Typhoon or Exorcist (Camero?) trims. Go from a 2-1/2 Litre single turbo (320-ish h.p.) to a 5.0 Litre Twin Turbo. There’ll always be some yahoo who will write a cheque for more than a hundred grand for something like that… has that sorta taste (or money). Even if you paint a Fiery Giant Chicken (Phoenix?) on it’s bonnet… or rather it’s ‘hood’. Regardless, I still like it! Thanks for the video.

Yes, it is very troubling to me also. Only time will tell. But I had a V6 2005 Toyota Highlander go 360,000 miles without any issues until I messed it up. All the new Highlanders, even the grand highlander or V4 turbos. I just couldn't pull the trigger. Maybe they will all prove me wrong. But V4s in big cars have never done well from my experience. The Honda Pilot is still a V6 which I think was a good call on Honda's part. I think they are all doing this because they are trying to meet federal fuel standards. But yea a V4 just seems like too much stress.

Happy to see those two cup holders behind the center console arm rest. So useful. My wife and I both roll with a tumbler of water and usually stop for a coffee along the way. Thats four cup holders in use if my math is correct. So many manufactures miss this and it’s shocking. Lay flat rear seats, column shifter freeing up console space, useful and abundant cabin storage, quite cabin and smooth ride-they nailed it. Did I mention cup holders? A good example of form following function. The only big downside is GM collecting and/or selling driver data from these tech heavy vehicles.

Very good review. My wife and I will definitely consider the Traverse probably about this time next year. One thing I would like to see form more testers, is sliding the second row up to a position that is comfortable, and then seeing how much room is in the third row. Many vehicles have so much room in the second row, that sliding the second row forward for third row passenger room seems practical. I also agree, that it would be nice to have the bench seat option for higher models. Thanks again for the good reviews.

I had one of those new engines and 8 speed transmissions in my 2020 Camry. It was the first Camry I hated to it's core. It couldn't skip a month, for the year and a half I kept the car, to not act up or smell like it was over heating. Toyota finally said all the broke stuff was normal for the 2018 and up when I brought up the lemon law. Toyota quality is gone. It's a true American car now, put out junk and let the service bulletins fix it. I lucked out buying it when the prices were low and dumping it when the prices were high.

Toyota seems to be trying to move up-market with all their new vehicles. This is overpriced, its the only reason I don't have one pre-ordered right now. Toyota Tacomas got so expensive with this year's price bump that they are cluttering dealership lots and I have heard from the dealerships that they are struggling to sell them, because a base-model Tacoma sells for the price of a decently equipped F150. Tacomas normally fly off the lot, but not anymore, now they are piling up on the lot. The 4Runner also has my eye, but they haven't announced pricing yet, and I suspect it is going to see the same price hike as the Tacomas and this Land Cruiser. At this price point you can start to consider luxury brands. Let's see if people are stupid enough to let Toyota get away with it. Oh, rectangle headlights for sure.
