I used to listen to this all the time. Loved it. ...and still do. I had actually forgotten all about Camel or the Snow Goose. Thank you for posting this and reminding me of how lovely this music is. I've still got the album, but hardly listen to music any more these days.

Does anyone have any info on the Les Paul that Andy is playing in this clip? It seems that was his main guitar back then, it’s quite beautiful.

If Pink Floyd had written this it would be one of the most well known pieces of music... however it's just for us.....and I like it that way!😊

I smile when so called musical historians appear on documentaries on the history of prog rock and Camel are hardly mentioned, if at all. How do you overlook a band like this? I can only surmise they're clueless. In my top three along with Floyd and early Genesis without any doubt at all. Superb band both on vinyl and in particularly live. They were a big part of my musical catalogue growing up in the seventies as a teenager. Music's been a huge part of my life and I've loved bands from all the decades I've travelled through. Certain bands and songs take you back to certain memories don't they and listening to this particular piece takes me back to those days of transcending from childhood to early adulthood with all my mates. Such an important period in your life. It's nice to have a sly glance back over your shoulder now and then and the revisit the memories that make you smile.

Couldn't agree more. Also when lists of the top guitarists are published Andy Latimer hardly ever seems to feature - God knows why. He is a master musician.
@rael199910 місяців тому
@@franklove9897 ...Yeah Frank, I learnt early on in my love of music to take what critics say with a pinch of salt. After all it's just one persons opinion and most critics came across as know it all egotists. Having it seemed a high opinion of their on own opinions.

Camel were the most European sounding of UK prog groups, like Focus, Supersister, Solution, Wigwam, etc.

Can anyone tell me what is the name of that small synth keyboard, the keyboard player is using? It’s on top of the other keyboards.

American fans wanted Camel to tour, but the group could not afford to. So the fans raised the money and they came over.

How were they not sued for basically ripping off CAMEL cigarettes logo ??!!
@pigeononbread547710 місяців тому
I know this is 3 months old but the Camel cigarette company actually allowed and sponsored the band and allowed them to use the camel font and even allowed the band to use the art of the cigarette pack for their album mirage
@pigeononbread547710 місяців тому
To add onto this I'll quote from a cool info book about the album mirage "the association with the cigarette company went so far as having camel cigarettes being given away for free at concerts, having amplifiers covered with camel skins and allowed advertisements at concerts"
