I actually like a lot of Tom Cruises movies and i think his portrayal in Born on the 4th July, should have earned him an Academy Award.

Cruise may do his own stunts, he may do things that are putting him in real danger. But unlike a soldier he is not doing any of it while a real enemy with real ammunition is trying to really kill him.
