if it supported external gpus and had empty ram slots as an option to override the unified memory ram and allocate all of it to m2 gpu and have a high capacity dimm ram then this machine would make much more sense

I had to put my nostalgia aside and realize that he is talking about the console themselves not the era and games on them. (In the Nintendo section) If it was about the games N64 is definitely S tier. The games on that console revolutionized and put us down the path of how games are developed. There is no halo or any modern fps design without goldeneye. There is no open world without Ocarina of Time. The games shaped gaming today.

I doubt it’s the mix, I’ve found majority of the time it’s the pesky tv speakers that sucks, a lot TVs have very poorly designed speakers that don’t make the cut compared to the rear projection screen TVs from yesteryears which had an amazing sound stage due to the larger drivers.

The most amazing thing is the price at this size, $10k for 115” with decent pq panel is just insane. 40 years ago China barely had working cars mostly bikes only, no one had a tv. Now it is leading the world in so many high tech areas including ev, high speed trains, ai etc.. and coming after our airplanes while Boeing continues to implode…just mind boggling the pace of innovation.
