Is there a way to reprogram the RFID tag to use it in some other projects? I.e. saving on it a script to connect to a Bluetooth device etc. The tag is so small and activates from a really long distance. I wish I could've used it in a project where free space could be a problem.

Great information and an interesting look into what you can find out with limited information. I've had a go at reproducing your results with a couple of MagicBand+ from around the time this video was released (i.e. probably similar firmware age) and they don't seem to respond to the magic number or any value which can go into that first byte of dataOut. I think I need a MB+ to disassemble and attach a power profiler to next and if that doesn't get me anywhere then I'll be trying to dump the MB+ firmware. My assumption is that the firmware is the same as on the non-plus bands and the bands simply lack the extra hardware (leds and a vibration motor).

Hello my friend. I have a nano arduino and a CAN bus MCP2515 interface. I made the connection like yours to the nano and I can connect fine to IDE and Canhacker, I can also upload the sketch without any issues the problem is in the canhacker I can not see any data. Tried connect on desk, directly to the comfort can bus on the cluster and also to the ODB connector. Any advice? I only made a modification to the canhacker.h from 16mhz to 8mhz in the CAN CLOCK portion. Any advice where to look?

Hey bro, I have this smartwatch (which maybe from AliExpress), model LF33. with four buttons and a circular shape, and it stopped working after I left it charging for a lot of time...which is a bummer, but I do think it is fixable, since I opened it and I saw a disconnected cable, but I do not know where it should be connected, it's a really nice watch, which also lets you upload files into it through Bluetooth, would be fun to (maybe) flash a custom firmware...if possible ofc

I have a bad habit disassembling stuff first after purchase or buying cheap things only to look inside and find out how the engineers have accomplished something. There should be a database with pcb pictures and block diagrams where you can upload information for others to look up, like already possible in FCC reports for wireless devices. I find it a valid way of learning distinguish good and bad design practices from others, especially when opening up defective items and finding out how constructions failed.

Love the reference to cnlohrs lolra. Both your and his projects are amazing to me, getting unintended functionality from used or cheap off the shelf parts.

I think so main difference between esp32 and this would be power consumption as well. I think this device would be quite good on power consumption but if it would be esp32 that would be atrocious. Also I jave noticed these AI chips are much better suited for these purposes as there sole purpose is doing this stuff.

Everything with image recognition or face tracking I've been managed to run on the esp32 ran like absolute crap, but I guess for an application like this it's actually ok to get 1 frame every 5 seconds or something.

Great video! I got a flipper to try and understand protocols and now I’m diving into NFC. I actually was brushing my teeth and decided to scan it and was very surprised when it actually read. This brought me to this video. The flipper let me unlock the brush head by manually inputting a password but not I’m trying to see if it will let me input an NFC command to reset the clock. Do you have any experience or tips with doing this with a flipper by chance? I’ve only been trying to tackle this for a day so it’s keeping me busy. I’ll let you know if i figure it out
