I believe the first prisoner needs to decode the coin pattern on the chess board, then turn the key square coin over and hope the other person can find the one coin that doesn’t fit the pattern that he too sees on the board. The problem I have is that I haven’t figured out the pattern yet! 😮

This is probably the best and most straightforward, thorough, and honest explanation on the topic I've found. I love people who say, "This is just a fancy way of saying X." Aside from being clear to understand, it's also just a really wonderful character trait. This guy nails the intuitive explanation.

That's a very good and lucid explaination. God job and thank you to the entire team to clear things up. But the downside is, now I'm underwhelmed of this technology. I already knew most of this stuff, and hoped, there's a "secret ingredient" I don't know. An igredient that makes these transformers so powerful. It's like becoming desillusionized, by revealing the tricks of a magician.

Your solution contains serious vulnerabilities that are difficult to fix. If each vibrating layer of material (glass) introduced very minute phase changes to the incoming EM wave, then the angle of refraction of the EM wave would depend on the thickness of the material. Your explanation implies the following conclusion: the thicker the material (glass), the greater the angle between the ray entering the material (glass) and the ray leaving the material. Additionally, inside the material (glass) we would see a ray of light whose path resembles the arc of a circle, because all the layers would change direction by a very small angle, creating an arc of a circle.

Thank you so much for these masterpieces! When to expect the next part on transformers? Do you plan chapters on generative neural networks, like images generations neural networks, etc.?

It's frustrating for a person who intuitively understands probability, and sees how most people and society make terrible choices and share false beliefs. What also is really frustrating and more about statistics is how people often speak of averages without variance which can be extremely misleading. As well as binary thinking of predictions are and surprise when something does or doesn't happen. For example asking experts if something will or will not happen, which is often a nonsense question without chance estimates, and then discounting their competence as "wrong" when their 70% prediction doesn't happen.
