how does the Voigtlander compare to your Cron? I'm in the middle of a decision between the two (used Cron for $2100).

It’s not as “perfect” as the cron and seems a little longer, but depending on your wants/needs out of a lens, it could be great. Only thing I’m seeing is some field curvature on the Voigtlander, which could be an issue at first/1.5

The GR III is what you buy when you want to take great photos. The x100v is want you buy when you want people to think you're taking great photos. Both are great cameras, but the GR III is all about the photo, whereas the Fuji is all about the image, if that makes any sense.

Sure great camera but I prefer my gh6. Why? Smaller..better color skin tones .cheaper just as good 4.3 lenses. ..AF works pretty good does same as S5,ii...and much more high res

I sold my X100VI for this one in Silver and couldn't be happier! It feels a lot more solid in the hands and the IQ and Autofocus is stellar. I remember my Q2 and loved that camera, but the versatility and pure enjoyment aren't any less here I would say. Yes, you are "nuts" to carry around all that expensive gear in public. I hope you had insurance. Anyway, I would only take 2: my Nikon Zf and that Hasselblad 907x 100v. Then again, I would never take them around in a city like Paris.

I just snagged an x100f and it has been an absolutely joy for family and life documentation. It’s just been so fun! Single autofocus is good enough. I would say same as when I had an xt2. You really can’t go wrong from the f to the vi. For paid work, I have different cameras but for life moments - grab an x100!

In my country there r not many slide film dev and scan service. Only one that cost 10 bucks per roll. Compare to 2-3 negatives c41.

Do you ever have issues trying to focus with group portraits? I’m using the Sony A7RV with it and it has a hard time grabbing focus with portraits sometimes if I’m taking a wide shot, such as a couple under a tree about 10-20ft away. I’m wondering if I possibly have a bad copy.

Hello Benj, thanks for this video, the Voigtlander lens hood are to be purchased separately, on one hand it adds another 100 to the bill on the other hand the hood is premium metal, you get to choose the one you like (rectangular or round) you can buy it again if you would loose it (who does that) or not buying it at all if you're on a budget. This 28 renders superb fully open.

I was looking at that Kingston Hub. I read in some reviews that when you put an SSD in it, it ejects a lot. Have you had that problem? Because that's what I wanted to do with it. I work off of SSD's for my video editing and it would be great to have them plugged in and in a stand instead of wires going everywhere. Funny I was just asking my son to build me something like that out of acrylic.

I haven’t had any issues with that, when I have it plugged in, sometimes other ports will eject more easily, but I think it’s just overloading the hub or existing ports. But no, mine has been totally stable.

I owned the silver and the black M11P. I shoot more often with the black. Lighter and feels very resistant. I love the coating texture a lot. No finger print and more discreet than the silver.

@@benjhaisch seems for a cinema camera in this price range way over the new BMCC6KFF not shooting open gate is a big miss. I take it the resolution won’t allow for it to be a firmware upgrade given the low resolution of the sensor and they opted for extra two stops of DR given larger pixel pitch from lower resolution and we are stuck with black bars on the side of a 1.6x anamorphic lens? Also at least allow us to do custom desqueese ratios in camera for gods sake.

I almost always shoot my M11 in aperture priority and auto ISO, usually with highlight weighted metering. All good. For a spring/summer holiday in Paris I’d probably take my Q2. For a winter holiday with much less daylight, I’d probably take my M11 just because it has lower noise at higher ISO. Can’t go wrong with either really

As a father of four kids your comment about the M11 and not having hands ready to operate the camera is so true. I don't use my x pro3 with a Voigtländer that much right now. In the nice weather I could just set it to f/11 and focus at two or three meters, done. But I value autofocus so much right now

It's slow, the AF is outdated, there is no ibis, the user interface is somewhat limiting, the lenses cost a lot of money... but it's gorgeous.

I feel if you want really small camera for travel it should be Ricoh GRiii or Sony RX100. I'd rather go for Sony A7c or A7IV if I'm getting anything bigger than those two. Fuji X100VI is just too expensive unless you are getting it as part of your styling.

how does the focus speed compare to that of the fuji 90mm f2 or other lenses? i shoot action sports and motorsports, so a fast autofocus is important
