Saw another youtuber called "Lets Game It Out" play this years ago and it was wild.

Coming back at this 7 years later although I remember watching the series when it was first recorded. If I watch someone play a really complex game and I find myself screaming at them for “do this do that”, I will start watching for where their mouse cursor is and understand how easy it is to miss something in a game. This is one of those games, it’s so difficult to micromanage everything

These videos awakened a respect for these games that I didn't even realize I had. I remember playing DS1 long long ago with my buddy walking me through step-by-step using summoning signs... I didn't much appreciate the game because I was a noob and too focused on getting my ass kicked to enjoy any of the gameplay. Watching the series through someone else's perspective has allowed me to see the masterpiece that these Souls games truly are. Shooot, it has rekindled my desire to take a step back into the games myself and once again experience the sheer adrenaline of scraping past a difficult boss that has kept you struggling fight after fight, only to triumph through sheer willpower and dedication and once again step forward into the pain train. 😅

Coming back 5 years playing the game, I still cry when I hear "Timber Hearth" play. I've spent a lot of time in this game and it's had a massive effect in my life. It makes me happy, even years later, to see someone start the same journey I did so long ago.

I understand why Jack didn't want to say anything bad about the game. But it's a doubled edged sword. Saying negative things can also be considered constructive criticism. The double edged sword being, if you don't mention the negative of the game, (for example: going more in detail why you shouldn't have to repeat certain events again, or not having a skip option) the game developers aren't going to know the things that need to be improved for future games. On the other hand, you can say things you don't like in a game until you're blue in the face, and the game developers not want to take that advice because they like the game how they made it.
