We felt the exact same way giving up our immaculate, but too small for our family (800 sq ft!) 1917 first home. 3 years later and still so much to do to this 1974 house.

Wow congratulations, the house is beautiful. Hope you will all be very happy in your new home.

I've got a question so when you were fixing the slight dent in your wall where the doorknob created from opening the door..if someone has a huge whole in their wall from the doorknob repeatedly banging into would you say just to take that part and apply new drywall? We have two we need to repair

I’m sooo happy for you, Matt. The new house is beautiful and I know you’re going to make it look even better. Good luck!!!

What a moronic design. You connect it to a power source (the old doorbell wires provides DC power) but you still have to charge it.
@TheFixerHomeRepair16 годин тому
No, you don’t. I misspoke. I should have said you have to charge it if you don’t hook it up to the doorbell wires.

This was SO helpful for what will be the install process. I'm buying one used and this is going to really help us get it in, faster, easier and properly.

Great job. It is good to see a regular guy make sense and be completly understandable in there technic and be able to follow to the very end. Thanks for the help. I will be doing the same but from the bottom because they will be 6 panel pattern. I am now a subscriber and wish you luck on the new home purchase.

Okay, the drone shots...priceless. I'm a little sentimental about leaving the old house as well. I watched you basically rebuild the whole house, but the new house....I see so much potential for new projects. And all that room over the garage...work space? Maybe expanding the decking? I'm ready for the new adventures. Thank you for sharing, and bringing us along on your journey. 👍🏼👍🏼

The new kitchen looks great compared to the old one, but I would have made the upper cabinets flush with the ceiling.

I did this several years ago with an old unit and I tried my best to keep the electric parts dry but I guess they got wet because it never worked again after that.
