"I happen to believe in a life after this one, so I believe I will have to answer for what I've done. I think I can." Hits so hard once We'll Meet Again starts playing.

John Morrison, a.k.a. Johnny Nitro, said something similar to what you said when asked the same question. You could definitely see he was pained when he said, “It’s hard to watch him.”

So, wendy with no history of anger violence psychosis or addiction apart from cigarettes is the loopy one... but jack with alcoholism and history of hurting danny and the perpensity to potentially turn on wendy is not the crazy one..😮

The villain of Ace Ventura was not a “trans woman”, it was a man who stole a dead woman’s identity as part of an elaborate revenge scheme. There was no indication of genuine gender dysphoria in the film.

He starts off as a likeable character. We side with him. Life brutalises him and he learns how to deceive to get ahead. Even though he falls fowl to hedonism and betrayal there is still a grain of his innocence there thus making it a tragedy at the end. One must remember he is of simple farming stock hence why the depth of the character is shown in silent pictures. A look on the face says it all. It is a wonderful and engrossing movie that rightly is considered one of the greatest ever made.

I love how the theory tries to prove it’s right by saying “there’s no supernatural elements,” when Stephen King hated this film because it didn’t get SUPERNATURAL ENOUGH. It also ignores Dr Sleep which is the merger of the Novel and Movie, and gets straight up says “nah this place haunted and Jack went crazy.”

Gavin Elster is a psychopath toying with someone who has become seriously impaired. Vertigo is considered the best movie because Scorsese said so and his fanboys agree. Citizen Kane was really the best movie?

I don’t think these are ‘youth’ films - they are about adults and for adults. I don’t see any ‘ youths’ being enamored of Last Picture Show or any Bogdonavich film (aside from Mask) so this premise falls flat.

This channel is insignificant. Your opinions are insignificant. You're just posting your tiny forgettable opinions on the internet. You've never done anything. Watching this video was a futile act. I would like to have the six minutes back I spent watching this forgettable, useless commentary. It all comes down to you; the unworthy commentator.

Almost, eerily similar to my experience in exploring classic movies, the AFI 100 came out the summer after my freshman year of high school. I'd probably seen less than 10 of them, but the first movie from the list that fully made me think there's something to these old movies - The Manchurian Candidate. I watched it at my grandmother's house on AMC (way back when they were a rival to TCM) and it remains a touchstone to that younger me. I could not agree more with your assessment of the list nowadays; and with the deluge of lists that came after, the Criterion Collection and also the influence of Roger Ebert and his list of Great Movies that helped expand my horizons. I've yet to fall down the rabbit hole of experimental cinema, it still gives me some pause, though I still (at age 41) hope to grow into it. The AFI list by any measurement is put mildly, quaint, yet it did introduce me to many of my favorite films. All that said, thank you for making this, it reminded me of the kid I was that thought that that list was the be all end all of movies and how small my movie world was back then and how much it has changed in a quarter of a century and how much it still has to expand.
