Had one of those, when I was growing up. It was quite hard to operate with small hands, and from time to time, I'd pinch my palm between the handle and the body of the flashlight, which was most painful. But it was still, so cool, that I kept using it, regardless. LED is a good addition, because it has a lot less power consumption and therefore, will produce less resistance on the handle. With the original bulb, it would've been hard to run. The downside is that with the filament, that dims gradually, the light is more steady. To combat it, add a capacitor. Find where to put one. Maybe even run it to that spare bulb compartment, if there is no other place to stick it. If you're willing to alter the original, by having a non-factory bulb, might as well go all the way and make it a little less flickery.

@ethanspaziani10702 дні тому
It would be sick as fuck if this was just a giant lighter like contraption where you squeeze the handle and it strikes a flame not that this isn't cool

thank you for being decent about the sand blasting, some people on youtube, sandblast in all crazy directions leaving patches behind they have to go back over, i must have OCD, i cannot watch people sandblast like a psychopath with no order or logical direction, i prefer it much better if they sandblast parts like here in this video :) (i just noticed this vid is 2 years old, oh well)
@MrCHrisfj2 дні тому
I'll give you 8/10, the wheel treads were lathe cut & never polished like you did on this restoration and also the boiler doesn't look right unpainted. Not bad on the rest of it as it brought back a load of memories of mine from Christmas 1976.

at first I thought it was a brass knuckles with a flashlight from the preview)
