I had a similar issue with the axle while messing around with trying to build a Camillot Mixels MOC, it got stuck. The final MOC also accidentally has the cannon nose on backwards due to me slotting a clip in too tightly

I will never forget the finger crushing pain of the Sonic Ideas set. So so so many 1x1 pairs to make 2 plate stacks to get the proper look but it is so painful and tedious.

I had all 6 from the first wave. Still do to this day. Had multiples of some cause my brother had them too. They were my favorite Lego sets growing up. Only one I don’t still have complete is number 3. Tore it apart to build army vehicles at some point and needed the tracks and wheels. I have everything else from those first 6 though in very good shape. Wish I had the box art and the instructions to go with them.
