When this came out I was a fairly new FPV pilot but already mastered building and configuring and I saw lotta reviews with a lot of heat from the FPV community but me being a newbie, And just leaving my Mavic for FPV hobby I was excited best of both worlds you can Bando bash your quads but take care of your DJI get great footage

Hey, great video! I really liked how you presented the whole idea and why you switched! Nice work! I have only one question: You said that DaVinci is fast and you have no issues scrubbing your 4K@120 footage. Probably with all the newly modern and powerful laptops/desktops you don't see the differente but with my 8 years old system it is quite obvious. I tried everything: decoded the input files, use proxy, lower playback resolution, etc. DaVinci is still struggling to get me smoother playback. On top of that it tries to fry my both CPU and GPU during export, while Premiere works quite smooth with decoded files even without proxies, full or half resolution during playback and temperature of both CPU and GPU does not get higher than 65 degrees celsius. Any idea what am I doing wrong? Is it possible to speed up DaVinci and get smooth playback or the point of upgrading my laptop is just inevitable...?!

dude im being so serious right now i too had no hesitation switching from premiere to resolve, it was borderline frustrating to use and i only kept doing so because i have been using it for the past 4 years. when i went on my first job another videographer there said he fully switched from premiere to davinci which got me thinking if its really better, and honest to god it is i cancelled my adobe license and i'm going full blackmagic

Coming back in 2024.. I first started shooting full time late 2016. When I first started, I would always watch Sam’s videos just to get inspired and go out there and shoot and find out what I enjoyed the most. It turned out I really loved capturing intimate moments, whether it’s between people, nature, or anything that felt like it was only a “once in a life time” shot. I have been taking a break from it (about 2 years now) because I wanted to try other things and spend more time home. I have my first wedding coming up since 2022 and I just felt lost and that’s when I came back to Sam’s channel to just remind myself of everything. Seeing Sam’s videos brings back so many memories. Thank you Sam, you’ve inspired me to start shooting more now and have fun again😊 -he also put me on to illenium which will forever now be one of my favorite artist😂
