Doubling the production of whatever the material is means finding and developing a lot of less than ideal sources. Your counterexamples miss the mark. IMO the only "bad news" would be if it turned out that the car *couldn't* be sufficiently cooled. If it can be, then that will reveal itself when the production version is revealed. Where are the fire chiefs quotes coming from? There have been A LOT more Tesla fires (other than these) that have been reported. Additionally, Tesla battery factories that have also had fires due to battery packs according to preliminary investigations.

I think that’s exactly what they’re doing. We have a 2018 it’s been given us all kinds of problems related to the battery stating we need to service the EV system. The car shut down multiple times on us it does have about 75,000 miles on itand the day I dropped it off at service they had a salesman. Call me trying to sell me a new car. I wondered why he decided to call me and after watching this video now I realize it was because of the battery degradation and how they are dealing with it.
