WOW that’s a cool canoe stabilizer Scott! I remember always wondering when watching your videos, what happens if you lose your orr and you saying you sometimes have a spare on board when I asked the question. Now though, no worries about that! Smart. As per usual, totally enjoyed Eddie’s indoor update with the drawers for cooking inside! Keep the good content coming!

why not get a junk Camper that cost between free and 1,000 then strip it down to the frame. this way you get a frame plus some extra parts that could be reused
@martinslykhuis6604День тому
Terrible idea building frame in a large aluminum tray. When you get the inevitable leak all water will sit in tray. Water does not affect from the bottom... it always comes from above

Omg. What a wuss. First, that was not a blizzard at all. Second, the guy has a woodstove is sleeping inside and has a blanket plus the back up of his vehicle if it gets cold he can sleep in that. Men ( and women) today pale in comparison, to even 20 years ago. They record everything but never think about anything.

Not sure about using screws for the framing. Nails are stronger and less brittle then screws. Id also be curious to see how that bare aluminum holds up after a couple season of salt water splashing up on it. Seemed pretty thin, wouldnt take much of a rock or tree limb to poke a hole in it. Would like to see how the whole project has held up after a handful of years of being used.

Thanks for the great advice. Sad that our species is infested with so many scumbag criminals. I'm checking into WhereSafe for our trailer.

Good video buddy! I want you to know you are the FIRST and ONLY person i have seen on countless videos that had enough sense to take a few minutes to put chainsaw chaps on! I have cut countless trees in my life and i wont get a chainsaw out without my chaps! I learned the hard way but at the time chaps was hard to find now you xan get them easy. But round 97 i was going a tree for a friend and my big saw when i i went to start cutting caught a little bitty vine no bigger than my little finger kicked the saw back right across my left leg half way between my knee and hip perfectly in the middle of my mucle and went to the bone and you could see my bone. ONLY by GODs sweet Grace HE didnt let hit my bone and cut my leg off! It took 3 layers of stitches, 45, to get it closed up. The docs and nurses were amazed i got the bleeding to stop and they told me that the MAJORITY of all chainsaw cuts the people DONT make not cause of the cut itself but because they bleed to death before they can get medical help!!! Majority of all chainsaw accidents are a long ways from hospitals like i was out in the woods etc. So im thankful you took the time to put this in your video! Folks please take this very serious cause its NO joke!!! Ive watched countless videos of overlanders and 4x4s on trails that have to clear a trail to keep going and many cutting up firewood for camp and where they are at especialy overlanders one littlebitty vine or something could cost you your life but if not especially ruin yours and others dayS!! Sorry im so long but if it will save one person its worth it! Oh yeah if you could see my poor old chaps now and see all the cuts on them that along would get your attention cause if i didnt have chaps on all them cuts on my chaps would be my legs! Take care my friend! HAPPY TRAILS!!!

How effective has the door been at keeping out dirt, dust, and moisture while on the road? While the door build is brilliant, it's not entirely obvious how it seals out the elements.
@drcoloradojones17 днів тому
Thanks for the ongoing updates! Definitely inspirational!!! Based on your 2-3 years of experience of regularly taking Eddie out on rough logging roads plus at least one transcontinental road trip, how is the build holding up? And are there any longterm maintenance issues that have emerged during that time? For a wood frame structure mounted on a trailer chassis, this build seems to have turned out much sturdier and durable than I would have expected.

I've been using a dry toilet and separate Urine stand In my house for 2 years, no issues or problems. Another plus there's no use of water in both systems. What i used to cover my stools is use coffee grounds which I dry and store and use when needed.
@cmgtafan20 днів тому
That's not that bad. Not counting the electric it's worth the expense. I've seen tear drops that cost 35k and don't compare to your build.

If I wasn't a hairs breath away from 80, I'd take up camping in the wilderness. Looks like fun! I can just about smell the wood burning and the yummy odor of cooking when really, really hungry. My dog would so enjoy it! Thanks for posting. So enjoyable!

Ahh, so sorry for your loss. I know the pain of loosing a beloved dog. How lucky she was to spend time with you in the wilderness.

I have a similar setup but had to contend with hard rain last week. The awning pooled water even at a decent angle. How do you deal with it?
