I can always tell who knows a bit about monkeys and who doesn't. First of all baboons are mean , nasty things and these babies will be no exception. They're mean , nasty things. Yes, any who truly want a monkey as a pet shouldn't EVER take a baboon as there are other species of monkey far more suited to being a domesticated monkey. No one should adopt ANY MONKEY without realizing what an ENORMOUS RESPONSIBILITY IT WILL BE. IT SHOULDN'T EVER be a baboon. CAPUCHINS are TRULY LOVING monkeys , unlike those hideous baboons who aren't deserving of being a pet whatsoever. They are the UGLIEST , meanest monkey which exists . They aren't cute and While a pet certainly doesn't have to be cute to be a loyal pet , baboons are EVERY BIT as Ugly on the inside as they are on the outside❗ Watch what Joe Rogan has to say about them on his " podcast." I am emphatically against animal experimentation because it is profoundly cruel. The thinking is that since monkeys share such a high percentage of DNA with humans , they are necessary to use in research. It's not without merit but I don't care even if it is valid it's wrong. Still, If they're going to do it anyway , use the baboons . As sincerely fond as I am of all other monkeys I find everything about baboons to be repulsive. They're about as nice as the Komodo dragon.
