i'm curious about how new players feel about the twist. it took me by surprise when i played the original because i never really questioned what he was there for. him having the same voice as a character you're familiar with probably helped too

You can kinda see the foreshadowing for ikustsuki's betrayal. He shows less emotional investment into the main character and SEES than Dojima/Sojiro, always a bit aloof. I don't think it qualifies as 'incredibly obvious', but the signs were there in some way, IMO. AND DON'T FORGET ALL THE DAD JOKES DAD JOKES ARE EVIL

It might only be me but I appreciate this plot twist not because of the shock factor, but because of the tiny bits of foreshadowing that Ikutsuki was suspicious (my headcanon is that he was designed that way). We all know that Dark Hour is not going to disappear and we're unsure of how the game will continue. This then leaves us questioning until the game explicitly shows that Ikutsuki is going to betray SEES and setting up the greater evil later on.

i originally that the knight with that really big keyblade was sora grown up especially when he picked up his keyblade as seen here.

Nothing in this game interests me so far. A lot of the characters don’t feel like persona characters, they feel like generic characters from all of the other gacha games. The combat doesn’t seem to be all that different from things (the shield system was already in strikers) that already exist. I’m also not too pleased with reliance on Joker and the existing Phantom thieves - imo when you introduce a new cast of characters and immediately shove the original cast in your face to get positive reactions from the fan base. AND DONT GET ME STARTED WITH THE OCEAN MOTIF. That will always be Makoto Yuki’s place. So far it just feels lazy.

I love the P4 twist, but the game actively wants you to see the twist before it actually happens. P3s twist completely comes out of left field and that is what makes it so compelling to me even though some may say that it's bad because of it

I hard agree with you. When I played the OG decade ago the impact was not nearly hard as it is now. Mitsuru and her father spent so much effort, not only got nothing, they lost so much 😢
