Led's are already effective, they manufacture retail led bulbs to fail by using too much power so they can make you buy more. Most leds last if you dont over drive them with excessive amounts of current resulting in heat losses. The effective way to drive led's is through high frequency high voltage dc. They use 1/4 of the current and output the same light. Scams are how empires are made.

More gas engines. More diesel engines. Solar panels will be destroyed for materials that they were made out of when times are tough. Which is already happening.

Fake. you can not use the waight of water to pump water out Above the level of the water. I have built one to try it. water will alway be level. even if its 1000 to 1. goto 15.14 "do to gravity the water pressure is higher. so forces water upto the top" !!! NO it will NOT.

Can someone clarify - 1. Due to the tilt, the salt keeps circulating and due to high density will go back to the sea. 2. The second unit gets salt water both from the first unit and the sea.

Sorry, but this "breakthrough" of 4 times higher power density compared to LT-PEM is not real. You as a former AVL engineer should know this better than others, because AVL is one of the biggest engineering companies within the fuel cell industry. You completely skipped the point that the state-of-the-art HT-PEM MEA´s has only 25% of the power density compared to LT-PEM. Additionally the operating point of the HT-PEM is on a much lower efficiency, which means more cooling demand. Not to mention that HT-PEM uses 3 times more novel metal catalyst as LT-PEM. And the use of aluminium for the bipolar plates with a relative thick carbon coating reduces the weight advantages compared to steel strongly. All together the power density may end up at a maximum of 30% but not the mentioned 400%. Sounds more like a investment related video but not a scientific based tech analysis.

last century" is a bit of a shallow way to describe things. And also this is by no means new, these kinds of propellers were tested for decades, they literally use the principle how how wings generate lift, but as far as I remember it is not perfect for directional control
@hi-5429
@hi-5429 17 годин тому
It's not new, it's the Voith-Schneider principle. The Reason why it is not used is the poor efficiency. For same thrust (mass x velocity) you need eigther a big area with low speed of air through it (like a helicopter) or smaller area with high accaleration of the air, but this is not efficient. That's why turbines grow in the last decades.

From a quick check ages ago, I couldn't find any lens that where remotely cost effective. But the "tech ingredients" channel had a great idea of using thin aluminum sheets plated with silver (and I believe anti tarnishing plastic/film). Not that his example appeared remotely permanent (don't let it hail on the thing, nor let wind hit his contraption) put the mirrors and the idea of tracking with the lighter part appears as a good start for a solar system.

Make a type of brick with PZT layering or just synthesize a Piezoelectric Brick & charge it with Fresnel Lens amplified solar beams and you have an effecient energy harvester.
@kachmi
@kachmi 22 години тому
The Fresnel lenses in lighthouses need constant cleaning to operate efficiently. Dust, pollen, and deposits from rain are always going to hinder the operation of concentrators, and this will add to the overall upkeep cost when coupled with solar panels that also require occasional cleaning. The inexpensive flat plastic Fresnel lens is the worst choice as a concentrator a its grooves are so fine that it may be near impossible to keep them clean without sandwiching the film in glass and adding to the cost that might just be better spent on additional solar panels.
