Unlistenable. The amount of ads interrupting the story is egregious.

Levin is a boob. Can't take him anywhere..socially inept..asks who to vote for, then votes twice wrongly, drinks and goes to Anna's & is infatuated, rambles constantly on wrong side of any issue. He's like a child..you never know what he's going to do, he's so easily swayed. Yes, he loves Kitty...lucky him that she loves him.

I know someone like Miss Bates. The amount and rapidity of talking is bad enough but what really kills me is the relentless hopping from topic to topic.😩

is this really the full book. cus it feels like its cut off with that ending
whoa ; a really good reader ; very enjoyable to listen to. I've loved this immortal book for sixty years. Completely.

Better reading than other versions. Different voices for each character. This reading very well brings out the large amount of humour in this story & its absurd aspects. If it's read too seriously the humour doesnt come across. This is a little like the funny parts of Jeeves and Wooster. Thank you!

How could you run ads on this,? it goes against the teachings contained within the very scripture you’re reciting

Quite beautifully read. An encapsulating, Austen-esque reading voice to accompany her first novel :)

Yes, history is no longer taught in public schools at all. History classes are now leftwing propaganda classes. All the other subjects are on the ropes and soon to fall.

Not sure who the voice is making me think about \. But I want to say, Ernie Ford. This is in a good way. :) Perfect voice for this reading. I have never actually read the book. I love audiobooks.

I came to this masterpiece fairly late in life- 33 or 34 years of age. This "society novel," as I believe Thomas Mann called it, fascinated me no end and a chapter a day was read before focusing on work. This may have been the way that the original readers read it, though on a weekly basis as it probably was serialized (this was common with the great Russian authors of that time and place). That scene in at the skating rink, whereby Levin decides to court Kitty, will be forever etched in my memory as will the idyllic time when Levin is staring at the stars after a day's work in the fields. And who can ever forget Anna's first sighting of Vronsky at the train station!

It is so important to read things like this especially if you’re on the opposite side of the spectrum. So many miseducated blindly following political platforms .

its so much nicer to listen to pride and prejudice than to read it myself. I can't help but get lost in my head overthinking whether or not I'm understanding it correctly whereas like this, it forces me to keep up the pace.

I cannot tell you how many times I had put this on to try to listen through until the end during my children’s literature college class and every single solitary time, I would wake up half way through this recording because I fell asleep somewhere in the first few minutes. Lol. Even in the middle of the day. So now it’s my go to comfort audio for insomnia to this day 🥰
