What if the pattern I'm knitting doesn't designate where to put the ladderback stitch? Is that a stupid question?

I have watched the video 10 times and I am now convinced that while that method of hem seaming is fantastic if you can do it, it is extraordinarily difficult to do because you’ve got the rest of the sock attached on the other side - it is extraordinarily difficult to see The smiley faces. So, I am wondering what the second recommended seeming method would be. Would it be advisable to do the stretchy castoff instead and do a regular slip stitch to attach the hem?

Can this BO be used for shoulders that will be stitched together?

Great tutorial, thanks. Quick question. On your finished product, do you work your duplicate stitches before or after blocking? And for which type of blocking; Steam blocking and Wet blocking; if it's different.

Hi Susan! I’m so glad to improve my knitwork with your all precious tutorials. I consider myself a beginner, but what a pleasure to have the perfect gusset for the gloves, or how to avoid the holes on the underarm, doing the short rows for the shawl collar or how to correct do the M1L, M1R, and YO and … Kitchener and CO in pattern and so and so. All the mystery has vanished and now what a relief. Thank you for all your work! I’m doing your twisted vine socks and this is my first try for the method of two circular needles (US1 for the gauge of my yarn). usually working with circular one, the beginning of work is a little bit tricky, but with two, easy peasy. I think that it will help me to better work the heel flap. My question was about the marker, where to put it? I choose to put a safety pin on the work to mark the beginning of the row, instead of a ring on the cable. And last, but not least, your explanations allow me to improve my English - when I work my knits I prefer to write in English instead of French, which is more complicate and no abréviations : K2Tog “ deux mailles ensemble à l’envers”😅

What's the best way to handle the ends on a long piece like a hem?
@bees54617 днів тому
This is brilliant. Wish I had seen this earlier. I finished one toe and did it the old way. I decided to see if there was a "imprived" method out there, and sure enough, found this.

I like to slip the first stitch as if to purl. Is it possible to mo the same thin when making a garter tab so that the edge is the same on the entire garment?

Love the video but one question remains for me. If I’m making socks and a required to have 64 stitches, am I casting on magic loop 64 stitches or 32 stitches.

Thank you for making this video. When you are moving the stiches in the third example is this done on the wrong side row? I noticed you did this on the right side row in the first example. But if I switched the stiches on the right side row and the did the 4 rows of double knitting, i would end up doing the bind off on the wrong side row. Is that correct? I always thought you were supposed to bind off on the right side row. Thank you for any clarification you can give me😊
