Wade's argument is not sufficient to disregard the whole sign house system. Secondary motion allows the use of retrograde motion where a planet moves back into the previous sign. While this is a geocentric optical illusion everyone knows how useful it is to interpret retrograde motion. So why can't we also allow the same thing with primary motion. The Moon is effectively moving back into the 12th whole sign house (Virgo in this example) but two hours later it will be moving into the 11th house for good and following the terrestrial path of the Sun God from East to West. This does not break the symbolism of primary motion. Furthermore the Moon does not enter the quadrant house 11th house while still being conjunct to the quadrant 12th cusp. In fact one can use the quadrant house systems as a secondary overlay on top of whole sign. Every quadrant cusp gives a local influence of plus/minus 4 degrees around the point. Very much like fixed stars. There is no need to delete one house system when we can use both. Whole sign system gives an essential view while quadrant gives an accidental view.
