I was in this state of mind for a good portion of HS and young adult hood. All my life, my grandmother was such a good Christian woman and a missionary to Chihuahua, Mexico. She had, I believe, 3 strokes and with each one, she was less mobile to the point where she could no longer speak or move. I blamed God for how He left her "broken down and paralyzed." After a little less than 10 years of her first stroke, she passed. I felt such hatred for what she endured and how faithful of a woman she was. I hated seeing her not being able to talk to me even though she tried and when the words never came, I could see the tears roll down her face.

I want to preface this as I don't follow a religion or anything. My family that I married into is EXTREMELY catholic and it is hard to relate. It has taken years to come to common ground where we both respect each other. Last comment pastor rob. It is worship of satan. Music is worship it is intentional invigorative energy that your allowing to fill you. I may be slipping off the path into convenient excuses but if one takes the message this song reminding us Christians both true and false of what tricks the devil will try and uses it can reaffirm our faith in what will be attempted on us much like how practice is controlled failing to know what to do to correct the situation back to normal but In this scenario instead there’s no failure for it is exercised contact with the deceiver and his tricks. Those who are really lost or impressionable may actually fall for the devil in this song but I believe it was made as a tool for us to get stronger as Christians. It Reminds me of wooden pop up targets used for military training. Risk is there of you messing up, but it will be a messing up of what’s inside of you perspective and courage-wise something that is 100% between you and God and nobody else. Personally it reminds me the fire is behind you and moving forward thru truth as if it’s a fog in the air, trusting God that I will move fast enough to find safety and if not then come whatever may for I am ready and firmly unmovable within my love for Jesus.

Not to make multiple comments Intentionally but I made my first one before the video finished and within the content pastor rob asked for what he refers to when the line hammering the nails into the sacred coffin. He’s talking about hammering the nails to the coffin of your faith to Jesus so that your faith can take the place in the coffin you would occupy. Instead he wants you to give up your faith for fear of death so you can live forever while your faith is what you sacrifice. He says without a sacrifice to dissuade you that your faith isn’t of value to give up or that your not actually giving anything up at all. Again I’ve heard this song about 200 times or more in 6 months now and that’s what my searching has extrapolated. Now to finish the video 😅

I needed this video for 6 months now but I’ve come to the same conclusion that it’s a test of my faith and holding myself accountable to this world and it’s temptations as well as the temptations of my humanity itself. I live within honesty and am blessed with grace by our lord so this song while setting my soul aflame in moments igniting my hypomanic states for the growth of my dream to help as many as possible thru my lone walk with the Lord Jesus and with the Holy Lord by my side I do not fear my place on the level. As an atheist it was very interesting to hear you react and talk about this song from a religious perspective. Someone in the comments mentioned that the worst thing an abuser can say to a victim is that they have to forgive them because god wants them to. I never thought about that. That is actually another layer of horrific abuse to use the victim's faith against them. :(
