Great video, I appreciate the comparison at the end, because I kept wondering about the optimized postgres version. Did you use connection pooling for the three queries?

You are so good, i'm a surfer and i'm looking for an alternative to the soloshot3 for autotracking, this approach can yield a very powerful app for Iphones or Android smartphones with good telephoto camera, the all combined with a gimbal to enable autotracking active surfers an a specific peak or area, i'm a developer too so i'll be working on this and give it for free just to piss off soloshot 😂

Complex query are still worth it even if there is no network latency. If we don't do join they we have to write code for doing this and it would become more error prone and complex code where as a single query could have done it. Until there is some memory concern, I don't see a point why not to have complex query for sqlite.

Why cant WAL mode support multiple writers at the same time? Also say you want to use sqlite for a server class app what configurations to sqlite do you consider as sensible defaults?
@maddelasaikarthik75633 місяці тому
Adding example for each of the Local-first, Local and Client-Server categories would have been better.

The question answer format becomes grating very quickly. You can convey the same info without. It’s very distracting once you notice!!

At 2:54, processes are *NOT* light-weight when compared to threads, instead threads are lightweight when compared to processes. Actors are generally more light-weight when compared to threads though.

You explain concepts very well 👍
@sekomer6 місяців тому
you are using second timing for comparison, but I think that's not right, first query directly goes and fetches data from disk, second query is. misleading and fast because first slow query was cached...

Hello, I would like to know if you know of a way to convert SQLite Database to MS SQL. If so, can you walk me through it? Can you show multiple processes on what to do? and multiple tools that can be used to automate the database conversion.

Very insightful educator ... thankyou things that come-to-mind... how to implement this in a dll, how to start AI functions for database searching in 2 and three dimensions and how to implement some of these searches in Lazarus or Delphi, and/or MinGW in Eclipse-CDT for win10 on 64-bit for example to help one consider how one might hold a pair of tweezers to hold something most effectively, and, to balance speed and outcome [ starting and stopping/heating loads] with regard to the current Earth's magnet field if Shrodingers equation is not a constant but a variable. eg in JET AIRCRAFT and/or space craft GIVING MATHS and PHYSICS a 'SUSPENSION SYSTEM' assuming that time and gravity interact.... among other things this also makes me think about gallium telluride in cooling circuits - I am currently working on developing a unicode dual text editor to facilitate learning Greek and hopefully, eventually other ancient languages like Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics etc. I am a newbie who tries to think outside the square.

Sounds cool, yet I am not sure I understand - how did Dino recognized the objects? Does it have pre-set training models for common objects? And if so, does it mean it is not suitable for custom objects detection?
@TheTrueVirus227 місяців тому
That is what I am wondering as well. I can only assume it has been trained on tons of images of more common objects but I cannot imagine that you could apply this in a highly specialized use case.
@ashimov19703 місяці тому
@@TheTrueVirus22 yes, exactly what I try to get a clue about: how I can apply this to dam detection based on available dam images made by drones or satellites
@AlainPilon8 місяців тому
Great explanation but how do you deal with cases where the ontology you need to use is not part of grounding Dino list of labels?

yeah, the same question
