Intergrating Typescript took a few minutes for you? I know typescript configs to the core but i still waste time configuring it in every new project, there's always an issue 😂

I think this is more of a “it’s a human so it’s an animal (true), then if it’s an animal it must be human (false)” type of situation… or am I crazy?

This happens in almost every programming language that uses floating point. Historically, the only language that didn't was COBOL, which used binary coded decimals for decimal point maths. This is why banks and finance companies used it. Nowdays, most languages have some decimal library that supports BCDs, so if you are writing financial software, use it!

JS is the most competitive language in the world. For the one trying to write a dumber language would need hundred years worth of experience.

In binary numbers, the numbers to the left of the decimal point are represented by 1s, with a value doubling each move left. To make a 3 you add 1 and 2. To make a 6 you add 2 and 4. The numbers to the right of the decimal point are represented with a value halving with each move right. To make 0.75 you add 0.5 and 0.25. You can't make 0.3 by adding together any combination of halved values from 1, and so the system approximates. You should learn his on day 1 of computer science, programming, or software engineering.

Hi Jason. I want to learn everything that I can in order to do well at this. I'm literally starting from scratch. And I'm going through everything that you recommend in that order. I don't know if I am any good at this at all. But I want to learn it, because I always have the most randomly great ideas. And I have no idea how to create them or pitch them, but I am willing to learn it and give it my all. You're an inspiration man.

It’s not an error but it’s also not the correct answer. It is computationally correct (the answer we expect the computer to provide) but not mathematically correct

Google “floating point addition.” The reason because the exact values of 0.1 and 0.2 as 64-bit floats are >>> f"{0.1:.80f}" '0.10000000000000000555111512312578270211815834045410156250000000000000000000000000' >>> f"{0.2:.80f}" '0.20000000000000001110223024625156540423631668090820312500000000000000000000000000'.
