It’s just my opinion, but drawing is the easiest and most precise way to express what we have in our brain, so some people draw manga. Since anime is basically originated from manga, we tend to create anime instead of live-action. Hopefully it makes some sense to you :) それにこんな怪獣を実写で表現されたら怖いなって思います。アニメがちょうどいいかな。
