My current XJ I got a small lift before I ever did any work on brakes or AC or electrical issues etc. If it runs strong then I focus on suspension first. They're just so much less capable with those awful sagging leaf springs. At the very least you could replace those for pretty cheap. When you have enough for tires saved up you can just cut the fenders and mount some 31s. Makes a world of difference in sand, mud and snow.

During a year of transition, I worked and lived out of a 1990 Mercury Marquis 4 door. I maintained a storage rental during with clothes and dry food storage. My work had shower facilities. It took a year to get an apartment. Just saying
