GDay Brett and Jade, in a vehicle, ATF Automatic Transmission Fluid is also commonly used in Power Steering. Years ago I was informed that ATF is basically similar to water but has properties to prevent corrosion. Water does not compress. My first reaction when I just saw the issue in this video, use your reverse osmosis filtered water to top it up and resolve it when you make port. Jade you just learned a wonderful lesson about traveling out of your own country. Hopefully the most important part of the lesson learned was DO NOT begin talking about how YOU are an American and " I am going to get on the phone and call my Congressman ......... " Those kind of things just cause you more trouble and cost more money, !ST thing to remember is YOU are in HIS COUNTRY not yours and HE has all the power. Always be polite and talk softly. Apologize and say you are sorry for whatever you have done wrong. I am sure I made a mistake. Can you tell me what I did wrong and how can I make sure I dont get it wrong next time. 2nd thing to know. $20 in each bottom pocket MAY be useful. DO NOT offer money to this man.
