hey, Adam, at 19:06 Don't cut the gear from the end, in an earlier segment, you malformed a couple of the teeth, so you have to cut it off, and start maybe 1/8th in from the end.

the problem is you can get thunderbolt cables for less than $20. all that technology at your fingertips and you used it to discover something which you could've read from the cable's description.

Is there a website with all the whiteboard drawings of the episodes? Would be very interesting for schools, students, technicians, eeeh humanity, aliens gods etc...

Those gears remind me of the planetary gears in each hub on the monster truck I helped work on... good ol' Grave Digger. I played go-to guy for Randy Brown whenever he came up to Halifax, it was a lot of fun and a great experience.

Adam and friend counting the gears of a bank vault must have been such a suspicious thing to see for any bank employee!!! Maybe don't do it
@jeffh880321 годину тому
You should make it so it opens in the centre with a standard domestic door key barrel.

Adam, you gotta stop that whole aging thing you got going on. ive been re watching Mythbusters for my well over 200th time and seeing young you vs now its crazy...stop it xD. but glad to see your doing well and still finding ways to interact with your fans.
@user-cv2bh4gj6h21 годину тому
I have watched every episode of every season, and i throughly enjoyed everyone of. Despite you and Jamie not seeing eye to eye. You both did a fantastic job of working together, and I for one would love to see you back as a team for more mythbusters. Seasons you did it before and you can do it again. I live in hope.

I'm trying to understand why the ring gear has 120 teeth instead of 144. Why the switch from base 12 to base 10? I guess the overall final OD of the ring gear must've dictated the tooth count.

Contact LPL before your build to get his input on designing & best practices to help prevent successful low skill attacks...

The most expensive fidget spinner. I love the cute aggression when the ring gear fits into the planetary gears first time.😂
@robodabbler22 години тому
You could chamfer the ring gear a bit and remove evidence of those tiny nicks.
@JdeeGeekyGao22 години тому
I'm glad I'm not the only Fallout fan who Adam accidentally summoned to his build when he mentioned vault door XDD. Regardless I do love gears they were my fidget spinners as a kid lol happens when you have a carpenter/builder as a dad and he just gives you a bunch of connected gears as a child and goes "Here's some entertainment." XD

Here is an exercise I’ve found useful for many major decisions: Take a piece of paper and divide it down the middle. Write your first option (e.g. Job at ABC company) at the top of the first column, and your second option (e.g. job at XYZ company) at the top of the second column. In each column, write down all factors for that choice that you can think of, both positive and negative, no factor is too small to add (e.g. higher pay, shorter commute, carpool available, corner office, friend works there, upward mobility, better cafeteria food, shorter walk from the parking lot, etc.) Compare the factors in both columns and cross out the ones that are equal in your mind. As an example, if ABC company offers better pay but XYZ company offers a shorter commute and these factors are equal in your mind, cross out both because these factors effectively cancel each other out and shouldn’t influence your decision. When you are done, there will likely be only one or two factors left. Choose the option that contains those factors.

one tip, Adam, the likely reason for 24 pins, is that only 12 are used 'routinely', aka the 'lock', the others go to a glass plate, ie: insert the new film "the Italian job"- with mark Walberg as the main, and Charlie Theron as the 'locksmith' and the "glass re-locker" principle, if tampered with these weld it shut, thwarting any cracking attempt. The logic is simple, you can only see one gear; I surmise that there are two rings, co-axially mounted on that ring, one for this re-locker, the other for the main set.
