Very good car we add a older model we did 400 000 km then I sold it to my cousin 800$ and he does another 400 000km with it and changed the oil twice, goes to mexico form canada multiples times the only issue with this car is the rust.

I had a friend with a late 1970's Subaru Brat, he went everywhere he wasn't supposed to. Certain maneuvers cost him engines, and finally he backed it off a cliff for a 100' fall into 70' of water after drinking half a bottle of something with his girlfriend. They both made it out of the truck in the water, so all ended well... As long as you never mention it. But yeah, it was a crappy car, but it would go anywhere, and up steeper inclines than anything else, as well as navigate narrower passages and generally go places vehicles should not be going. "Hold my beer!"

Subaru's are amazing. It's amazing to me that I still see Oldsmobile's driving around. Every oldsmobile I know of that ended up in the scrapheap had nothing to do with it not being able to drive. It was just more expensive to fix the other shit than the car was worth. Old VW bugs are another thing that is just fascinating. I've seen them in the mountains where no one would expect them to make it. (they did it, I just wasn't there to witness it) I don't give a shit about driving, I'm 45 years old and live in a rural state. I walk everywhere. I do respect the hell out of certain vehicles though. Nothing I mentioned was "pretty".

I would like to have seen the looks on the faces of the guys that have wasted thousands of dollars on lift kits , turbo kits , auxiliary gear boxes , and rear axle locker kits just to get BESTED by a stock fresh from the dealership used grocery getter car 😂 . They could have saved that $$ and bought a used Subaru off of Craigslist list for $800.oo and climbed that hill 😂

I had 94 Legacy Wagon and it was almost impossible to get it stuck in the snow. I was amazed at how far it would go. Despite barely having enough power in the moubtains it was a ton if fun to drive and held more stuff than most modern CUVs.
