I grown up with you. you made it clear that there are not only shines but also shadows. And I love your awsome appearence. And voice. Frank Sinatra would be proud on you...

One of the best songs ever written. So few chords with gentle extemporising behind the melody. Yes how fragile we are. But the greatest act of mercy did come from extreme violence. The death of Christ on the cross by which we receive forgiveness from our sins and our fragility is overcome with His divine love. This act has been ignored over the last couple of decades but is being revisited in these times.

The only thing I don`t like is the tempo. The drummer was dragging a little bit. Not saying he`s bad he just the BPM right on this concert.

Man I love the guitar sound overall. It`s very unique. And all players are excellent and props to the soundman for recording it at the mixer. There is nothing worse than crappy phone recording. The video is good but the sound is sub par in most cases. But you have to look at the big picture and say wow if that person wasn't there and did not record it we would be missing out on a lot of 1 time live shows.

Modernise this understanding ;) Women aren't all hookers, most are until they are grown, then they are a girl, then a warrior, then a woman. Then more

I remember hearing this this on the Alanis album a very long time ago. I always wanted to hear some musical backup. Nobody but Ashe could this track justice and he certainly does. This is a gorgeous and tender rendition and you can hear the honesty as he finds his truth in the words. Fantastic.

And you bring me to my knees Again All the times that I could beg you please In vain All the times that I felt insecure For you And I leave my burdens at the door But I'm on the outside, I'm looking in I can see through you, see your true colors 'Cause inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me I can see through you, see to the real you All the times that I felt like this won't end It's for you And I taste what I could never have It was from you All the times that I've cried My intentions were full of pride But I waste more time than anyone But I'm on the outside, I'm looking in I can see through you, see your true colors 'Cause inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me I can see through you, see to the real you All the times that I've cried All this wasted, it's all inside And I feel all this pain Stuffed it down, it's back again And I lie here in bed All alone, I can't mend But I feel tomorrow will be okay But I'm on the outside, and I'm looking in I can see through you, see your true colors 'Cause inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me I can see through you, see to the real you

Chris Isaak co-authored this in Nashville with Natalie Hemby, Miranda Lambert and Michelle Branch. Isaak recalled : “Natalie [Hemby] had a great piece of melody and THAT BEAUTIFUL TITLE ‘REVERIE’ [2015]. I love when you hear a word that describes something quickly and perfectly […]. I came up with a line I like, ‘Wish you could see your face. You go someplace no one can touch you.’ I’ve found that I LOVE WRITING WITH WOMEN […] because they just have a different way of looking at the world.” 💙💭💜

This is Chris Isaak’s HOMAGE TO ROY ORBISON (1936 - 1988)❗️ Dixit Isaak : “Somehow ‘Perfect Lover’ [2015] ended up as ORBINESQUE as anything I ever wrote, and I so wish Roy were still alive because I would be bothering him, saying, ‘Roy, this song is perfect for you.’ Roy had all those great songs where love is tragic and hard, but then there’s a turnaround, like one of my favorites, ‘Leah’ [1964] […]. People may not hear it, but at the same time THIS IS ALSO MY NOD TO ABBA […].” 💙🎶💚
