Only thing missing is not even green runs the same. Faster greens use 12, the slower the green the lower the “rule of”. 12-11-10

Moving the ball that far forward also adjusts the arc going around your body. You'll be coming across it and tend to pull/slice with the out to in path.

I've seen several other UKposts instructors post lessons from Pete Cowan, gotta say, rather hard to follow. I used to be a low single digit player and I felt kind of lost. I guess that's why he's on the range with the best players in the game..

How about a series on mini driver vs driver.....and what to look for????
@randallpennington59766 годин тому
I have a question! I have trouble hitting too much up with my driver, hitting it low on the face! I hit my fairway woods great off the tee but I am considering a mini driver so I can change my driver problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nice one Alex. Thank you. I was one baby that was missed at birth when checked for hip dysplasia. Meaning, that resulted in needing both hips replaced early in life. First noticed when I was hit by a drunk driver at 8 resulting in a fractured pelvis with the x-rays showing significant dysplasia in both hips. It didn’t slow me down as I’ve represented Australia in 3 different sporting categories. However, as the pain increased from bone on bone so did the meds until my quality of life went down. Prior to surgery my handicap (late 30’s dropped out of a single digit as I simply couldn’t rotate my hips. So, a PGA Pro introduced an actual step through (not happy Gilmore), just where my left foot as a right handed player would set up 10 centermetres short of my finishing point. As once I’d reach the top of my back swing I’d just step that front foot back to where it should’ve been to encourage this. It worked! Back to single digits. Then they were both replaced at 40 and I almost had to learn the game again with brand new artificial left and right hips. Now at 50 and with some tips from yourself, I’m back to 4 ish and hitting the ball further and straighter. Some say it’s down to the modern equipment, I’m just lucky I can walk pain free. Cheers.

Hey Alex i have been using a head cover on the outside of my ball to help me stop hitting it out the heel and it is helping I am hitting it out of the middle more even some toe strikes. But am still not seeing an increase in distance I don’t know whether it is my club face or club path or not enough wrist hinge any drills or advice on what I can to eliminate or find out which is the problem robbing me of distance.

I think dropping the hips first works better for arms dropping. Elite golf schools on youtube drives this point home

Alex, thanks for all your content. What I really need is one piece of the pie for my swing. I need to learn how to line up properly to the ball square to the Target. I noticed I’m tentatively always closed with my feet to the Target and watching other amateurs playing the game. I noticed that they’re always closed to the target in general. I’ve tried everything I could think of a rhythmic pattern and it always reverts back to being closed to the Target, which is killing my swing Can you go through a video how to lineup properly consistently square to your target

love this. i have been finding success with rotating my grip as you suggest. i have bene aiming myself right but work with my upper body, i cant wait to pull that right foot back and see what happened. i will also try the opposite with the irons.

Similar advice to The Upbeat Golfer and his "Rushing Swings? How to Teach Your Brain to Stop It" . . . but it certainly bears repeating because us golfers can be thick-skulled, slow learners LOL. Thank you as always Alex!!

I’ve watched your videos for about 3 months now and your tips have helped, however I’m still having an issue with distance and slice which I’ve found the only way to stop slicing is taking my right thumb out of use causing more strain on my wrist in the downswing which is giving me straighter shots but not the distance I want. Please help

Can you discuss in detail where face strike on the ball results in the different spins and directions for the ball? A perfect center strike should give the optimal straight ball flight.

Thanks Alex for this tip. I wonder if you shouldn’t start shifting down and to the left earlier, at B?
@davidkramer19420 годин тому
I have said this so many times to you already, but I say it again, thanks for the amazing content. One thing I think that nobody ever talks about is that distance between your hands and your body at the bottom of B and how you maintain it through the entire swing. Woukd be great to hear your thoughts on how you maintain it so accurately that you can hit so many dead center shots.

I’ve seen some data that says your putter arc doesn’t change much with a blade vs mallet. Do you have any special input on this. I thought I needed a big mallet to control and paid too much for it. I played 4 months and practiced a lot. The feel never improved. Took the aim point course. I just tried a PLD blade anser 2d putter for 30 minutes. What a dream. It was like autopilot for the swing in comparison. What gives? Any insight on how to think. Lots of confusing information out there
@_.Dave._22 години тому
It should be D, roll of the wrist. Once you're at B, if you rotate the hip/shoulders to target, the club face will be square at impact. The roll of the wrist, aka the release, happens after impact... D
