although I'm not a Dortmund fan, I do have a BVB Dortmund original scarf from about 2007 signed by Marcel Răducanu who played for them back in the '80 and was a great Romanian striker (I'm also Romanian)and you bet I'll be rooting for them in the final,chiefly because I always liked Reus, he always seemed to me as a proper down to earth lad and also for my disdain for all these big money clubs

I think you highly overate Croatia and highly underrate Italy. Also Spain will have a good tournament this time around, they aren't losing to any underdog. In my prediction they face Germany in QF or England depending if Spain finishes 1st or 2nd in their group, and like you can't predict who wins either of those game and the loser of that game isn't leaving the tournament in shame unless they get blown out or something. I also don't see any dark horse teams, the standard top 2 teams in each group will finish top 2 and the worse of those top 2 teams will lose out in Round of 16. Third place teams all lose in Round of 16, Portugal out in Round of 16 as well, along with Ukraine Croatia out either in group or Round of 16. The 4 interesting teams to watch will be Spain, England, Italy, and Germany. The reason is these teams are all question marks in terms of you never know what you will get with them and there is also a very high chance they all will end up meeting each other in the QF for an unpredictable but wild QF round. France will be a flop as in they will lose either in QF or Semi final, possibly to England lmao or Italy. Netherlands will do better than expected as well. I feel like the winner will be one of England, Italy or Spain.

wanting to remove VAR is mental xD so you better rant about officiating for the rest of your days than want an evolution and technological backing of an impossible job of a referee. To officiate a match without wrong decisions which within 1 game inevitably accumulate to critical mass and you would think your team suffer from referee is IMPOSSIBLE. It's inhuman to be able to process all episodes. Football (human body conditions, speed) evolves constantly. To be ref nowadays is infinitely harder than to be a ref 20 years ago.
